Well I must admit PJ I would have bet my house on pools losing once it went to 2-1,its just what weve come to expect! Fair play to them for proving me wrong and showing some long overdue fight!!.

But of fight again. Make no mistake we are still in the shit and need wins, but the last few games have showed at least we have some mental toughness.

Now hopefully for the embargo to be lifted and get 2-3 half decent loanees in.

Neither did I, I was as shocked as you. Two minutes from the end I was expecting a 4-1 defeat and a Solihull winner!

That was in the "We are unbeatable " season. 3-0 down, Andy Monkhouse pulled one back before half time and Richie Barker scored two in the second half. Stockport then missed a twice taken penalty and Pools stayed top of the league.... or was it all a dream?

It may only be a point, but this is far and away the best Saturday so far this year for Pools fans.

Bates and Ged McNamee have instilled some self-belief and fighting spirit in what's left of the Pools squad in a very short time. Even better, Raj Singh being over in Fylde with his manager-in-waiting can only mean that they think a takeover is close. A change of ownership should mean a quick end to the transfer embargo. Hopefully the new regime will have a couple of reinforcements to the playing staff lined up, and then all we have to do is watch Pools pull away from the bottom four.

Of course, nothing is ever THAT simple with Pools, but I'm gonna live in hope this weekend at least.

Personally, if I was taking over Pools, the last thing I would want to do is increase the wage bill even further. Bates seems to have instilled a bit of fight into the team, give him the job at least until the end of the season.

Are we sure Hignett wants the job? Might just be in an advisory role? I'm only guessing after the effect his previous stint took on him. Managing Pools needs a health warning for those not as thick skinned as Dave Jones...it was thick skin and not big bones wasn't it?

a total improvement over the halifax away game which is the last i saw. can you get loanees at this stage of the season even if the imbargo is lifted.
