Speed skating olympian who has fallen in two of her three events and got disqualified from her third event. Also fell at last Olympics, usually seen in tears on the news.

I'd tend to agree but the speeds they go and the number of collisions suggests it's not all down to ability, if the crashes where her fault she'd be the one penalised. It's fairly exciting but if they didn't want crashes surely time trials would be more sensible.

They should mix in few ice speedway bikes with the pedestrian skaters to really liven it up.

To be honest one of the whole points of Short-track speed skating is to provide a spectacle for viewers - the idea is to provide something fast and furious with thrills and spills. The track is only a bit more than 100m long, stick 4-6 people on it and there's a lot of opportunity for it to go wrong. If you watch long-track, it's a lot duller - only two on the ice at a time, in seperate lanes, the whole thing is done as a time trial. Christie's had a lot of bad luck over the two olympics - she's won world titles in between, so it's not lack of ability as such, she seems to struggle with the pressure at the Olympics though which is after all the only time the majority of people will pay any attention to her event....

2.2 I think we all believe your lass is made from kebab meat, I'm not going to crack a monkeybutt joke about her name being Donna though.

Every four years some people get excited by the Winter Olympics , then nothing till the next four years. I'll be honest, it's just boring.

It's not something I'd normally watch but it's a better option than any other daytime TV when I'm at work. Same applies for summer Olympics and I'd also say world cup, I'd never watch other countries games apart from at a major tournament.
