Having lived the Pools dream throughout 6 decades of downs & a very few ups, I am sharing my thoughts on the present.
I have nothing but pride on the people who have fought the good fight over, not just the last number of years, but decades, to ensure league football has been played at the Victoria Ground or the Vic - never the Park!
My daughter was even named Victoria !

Together we have always been supportive of our team.

The wonderful way that we have been given support from all & sundry in the last few weeks has shown that Hartlepool F C is held in unique regard throughout throughout the country.

We are however our own worst enemies.
We haven't seen what's happening throughout football & the people who have taken local teams to the cleaners(no pun intended) for their own gains- from Hereford / York / Darlo.
As fans WE have been NEGLIGENT in allowing OUR TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB to be taken over
& being used
to line the pockets of people
who were exposed FROM THE BEGINNING ,by the great exposures from the "detectives" on this brilliant forum.
We will soon learn our fate from the negotiations now taking place.
The people of the town have shown the LOVE for the Club - not the team, management ,or owners.
We haven't recognised the signs & taken the OUR CLUB into our OUR OWN HANDS.

We may have one LAST chance to do so.
The TRUST IS OUR FINAL CHANCE- whether we are sold or not.
Otherwise WE have killed OUR CLUB.
A Poolie for 60 years!!!

And what precisely could ‘we’ have done pray tell? I’m not aware of any self-made millionaires or major lottery winners amongst the diehard Pools fans who could and should have stepped in at any point. Maybe the Darwin’s should have helped out?. Suggest you stop pontificating and face up to the reality which is the imminent end of HUFC as we know and love it.

PaulL you have to keep our history.
Plus ,why pick an unnecessary point when the big picture is what did WE do to prevent this happening when we saw it going on all around us & did nothing to get a supporters trust going to keep our club in existence.

The middle of those was the name when we won our very first promotion. You need to cut us walking sticks some slack.

Blueboy, we get your point about loving the club but you're going to have to accept that we can't get into a time machine and start the Trust earlier.
This forum is a place for banter, information, and debate, not for destructive finger pointing.

And no I'm not the new Admin, but I haven't stopped being an old one yet.

I tried Churchill, wasn't quite as good.

That's the advert dog Churchill, not the self-aggrandising shithouse former Tory/Liberal/Tory MP.
