that rippers funny though isnt he? he is almost as entertaining as john major reading a dissappointing bank statement 10 minutes after discovering his house has burnt down.

And even then I'd be 10x more positive about things than you Chip

peer reviews, climate change, scientific theories, gin and tonics, and calling people derisory names all in one thread.

I've stood next too him a few times on the Town End terrace, but didn't dare speak, just in case he tied my up in knots with his intelectual thought processes. Especially as I'm just a Henry Smith Grammar School old boy.

The world has totally gone nuts.

This morning on BBC I watched them bleating on about this Live Earth thing to raise awareness of climate change and had the empty headed numpty Joss Stone trying to tell me how important it was that we all did whatever we could before the world self destructed.

Then, and this is even weirder, some columnist from THE GUARDIAN came on and said that climate change was unproven and that there was lots for the scientists to do before they could draw any logical conclusions.

The best was saved to last though. A scientist supposed climate change specialist came on and said that it was impossible to know what was causing the ice caps to melt and other climate change indicators, so due to not knowing what was causing it they had to assume it was due to carbon emissions caused by the human race.

And just to top it all off it showed some dumbass Aussies on stage at their Live Earth concert wearing t-shirts promoting the extended use of fossil fuels.
