From an entirely selfish perspective I'm gutted you got promoted because you're just up the road from me and I know we'd have brought a good few, would've been a great atmosphere.

I was a little surprised that Dover got a result on Saturday, I thought that would be a good season opener particulary after Dover lost Ricky Miller, Moses Emmanuel and Ross Lafayette in the close season. After losing the calibre of players like that, I just coudn't see them as promotion contenders, maybe I'm wrong. That said Kinnear (allbeit he is a bit of a gobshite) does know the VNL and perhaps that was the difference.

I saw some of the Orient match on Saturday, they struck me as everything a NL team shoudn't be, that said Sutton is a notoriously difficult away fixture and last season the Imps only drew and Tranmere got trashed last season.

I feel you'll get a good idea of your seasons prospects on Tuesday evening at the Mose Rose as Macc will be a guaranteed solid top 10 side.
