There is a god.

It was only Westwood that made him look half decent.

Was Westwood guiding him telepathically from Walsall in the season we went up under Danny Wilson achieving our highest ever points in a season?

With all due respect that is utter bollocks, Nelson was a excellent player for Pools.

Why do so many fans have such short memories about players/managers from such an enjoyable era?

Arguably but to suggest only Westwood made him look half decent in just plain wrong, he only played with him for two seasons here and he was here six years. In that season I mentioned for example was he not half decent while we were winning 7 or 8 games in a row to nil? Norwich must have thought he'd been half decent for us as well because that's who signed him after Pools in 2009 (four years after Westwood left).

I also see that Jack Redshaw has been released by Blackpool always a good little player when ive seen him play against pools.
But i suppose we dont stand a chance with this type of player now and that would include mickey nelson

The Nelson/Ben Clark partnership was bloody good.

Good. Wouldn't want him anywhere near here.

He was a cracking player for us and in the Nelson-Westwood partnership he was the brawn to Westwoods football brain.

No, I think Amond and Oates made him look pretty good too.

Amond was actually dropped for the Barnet debacle for speaking to Jones about his awful tactics.

He comes across as a decent bloke, who loves life and football. Taking his badges at age 29 is a smart thing to do.

29? I got loads of badges in the Cubs and Scouts! I'd better check them, I may be a qualified UEFA Coach!

You do that Mr Bishop. It wouldn't surprise me if the Scouts were offering the UEFA A licence these days.
