It has to be said, CT helped sign some poor players in his second spell here , but IOR by that time were beginning to tighten the purse strings, whether that had anything to do with said signings, or whether CT had lost his halo, is a matter of opinion.

That was IOR's last big season of spending. Didn't he bring in about 15 players that summer?

Don't know if I'm allowed to name names but the best player I've seen at youth level is a lad called Thomas Havler who is signed to Hull. He plays/trains with the age group above his own. If he continues to develop as he is, he will be a fantastic player.

Thanks to your recommendation , he has just signed for Gateshead banghead

Wouldn't surprise me. He'd get in our first team now and he's only 14.

Ssssh! I am sure our Head of Recruitment is on it

Me as well. CT brought helped bring some professionalism to the club, obviously easy with IOR bankrolling him, but nevertheless, he did it, and that professionalism that he helped instill , has all but left the club. Maybe not a manager but deffo in the background in some capacity. Nice bloke too imo, always had time to speak, and never patronising.

The players were a lot fitter although he didn't recruit many if any local players.

Burnley midfielder.

We had two free kicks in a short space of time just outside of the box and Denis absolutely creamed both straight into poor Joey's bollocks. I think he might have even went off on a stretcher after the second one. One of the funniest things I have ever seen at a match.

Ahh, thought it was some random Norweigen we had signed who I couldnt remember! That was funny, didnt the ref stop the game each time aswell?

Who was the Norweigen striker we had who played about twice, struggled badly with injuries I think but he looked quite classy I thought in his limited time on the pitch. (Not Sperrevik before someone pipes up!!)

To sum up, Chris Turner is a terrible judge of player, and going from his second spell is a fairly terrible manager.

He'd fit right in, get him on the wage bill.

He'd bring nothing to the club. Absolutely nothing.

Rune Lange had quality stats on FM09 but was always injured.

He was on about £2k a week as well and would never accept mutual termination, was a nightmare.

Chris turner used to play champ manager

I was watching the reserves about 15 years ago with a mate who worked at the club and turner had a champ man save on the laptop called 'bhoys'

Assuming it was a Celtic save

It wasn't his bollocks, it was his face. Twice. The first one nearly knocked him out, he was allowed back on very groggy, and the second free kick hit exactly the same face. Think the second one actually knocked him out.

Rune Lange was a really good striker. Scored loads for Club Brugge in Belgium and they absolutely idolise him there.

I thought he looked good in his very few appearances for Pools. Still his friend on facebook!

That's so good to know. Whatever the Norwegian for 'Billy No Mates' is, no-one can say it to Rune as long as you are still in his life.

Luckily the miss didn't cost us anything.
We had taken 2 Huddersfield supporters down with us, it was the longest trip back from a game they have ever had.

Exactly, he even sent me a message saying how wonderful it was that I'd entered his life. Not in a gay way, naturally. It is Rune Lange after all.

Turner must of made a few bob out of the game, imagine he could afford to buy the club , or at least Billy Bullshitters shares.

Doubt he'd be daft enough to.
