Looks like the promo video they uploaded 2 months ago has paid off.

And when you consider how much Wigan reputedly paid for Bogle (certainly a million but wasn't it nearer 1.5m?)....just makes it even more frustrating.

The fee mentioned is only paper talk, remember the papers claimed Laurent went for £500k.

Thomas could of went for £200k or £1mil and I don't think it would affect the club's finances...

Several clubs interested, and they sell to the lowest bidder after negotiating for a full half hour. The ultimate Coxall piss take, and there's still people rushing down to the Vic to hand over another £250 so they can call occupy the moral high ground.

Incredible really.

Having weakened the squad further with the 4th player sale of 2017, lets see how much of the £200k gets spent on the team. My guess is zero.

No matter how poor or unfit the lad was after injury. He has massive potential widely regarded as 1 of the best players in the league. 200000 or 300000 is a joke and if he had been at peterbrough in exactly the same circumstances, they would of got 2 if not 3 times more. Christ premiership clubs are signing 15 year olds now for nearly as much.

I keep reading he had a bad attitude? When? I can't remember any examples of this

He had a few bad games. Everyone does

He signed a new contract to ensure we'd get a good fee (lol)
Stayed in Jan when he could have jumped ship
Came back from injury early to help us

We've let him go for about 800k less than what we should

Presume it's the line the press gave of him 'declaring' himself unfit for the final game of the season. Before Dave cropped up with two belters, I think Thomas was seen as the only match winner we had. Additionally, he did kick off when subbed at Cheltenham, saw that with my own eyes.

I don't hold it against him though, he's a bairn and probably frustrated with his own form and fitness.

No excuse for selling him for less than 500k though.

Thomas is enigmatic, quite typical of that style of player, world beater one week, like playing with 10 men the next. I think he maybe did sulk a little towards the end, but wtf, the whole club was in a mess. He obviously has potential, surely Mansfield must of seen that, but they let him go, why ? like I said a bit of an enigma. If a good manager can get the best out of him , then he can go far, if not, then I suspect he will have a career that will involve going from club to club, impressing at first then tailing off.

Agree definitely should of got 400-500k for him, the fact we didn't doesn't surprise me, its happened to us so many times its laughable, going back to the days of Bob Newton going for a song in 1982. Think Boydy was the only one where I thought, wow ! that's a canny fee like.

You have to question how a 22 year old has had so many clubs already. But nobody can argue about his talent and skill, too good for League Two, when at the top of his game.

I seen him stomp off when subbed. But that stuff never bothers me. Players should be annoyed at being subbed.

He gave a bit back to the crowd after the Barnet game as well but overall he has been a quality player and has been sold for pennies.

So he should. They played him in the wrong position first half and second half give him 10 minutes n took him off.
