Does anybody else here think its a bit strange that no mention has been made about ticketing for this vital game? I think it was two or three weeks back that Newport made their last game with Notts County all ticket because they envisaged the importance of it. It's fact that there will be loads of Donny fans there and it could be party time for them or it could kick off at they are not yet champions. Of course it could and probably will kick off for other well worn reasons from our end. Just strikes me as a bit odd that's all in what will probably be from a police stewarding point of view potentially very hostile. Will it be just cram them in and one last payday for I won't even mention their names. According to Donny's website they have sold out their allocation of 1,035 tickets. sctatchinghead

Yeah Yubep i guess you are right. I honestly would have thought yonks ago seeing the importance of this game arrangements would have been made in advance and i reckon Donny would have brought another 1,000 at least if allowed. Now where's my chill pill and tin helmet?

That is why I got my tickets last week, thinking it could go to the wire and game would be suddenly be made all ticket, don't think I could of faced standing in a queue for tickets to watch that shower of sh*te. I would of thought a game like this would bring in a near capacity crowd. If it isn't then you have to question, does the town deserve or want a football league club. People bang on about how many season ticket holders we have, but other than that 3000 or so, many of whom only get a ST because they are so hard up , they couldn't afford to pay on the day, I don't detect any real interest in Pools in the town, Saturdays gate will tell a story. Would like to think 7500 but probably more like 5500

Hopefully they will announce it today as £1 per ticket. Fill the place & make it as loud as possible for the slim chance we still have..

People are not going to turn up to watch dross. The possible champions turning up to play the probable relegation candidate would put off the floating fan at any club....especially when we've had consecutive seasons of shite served up. Football is about entertainment, it's not a cult.
I'll also bet a load of people with ST would have swerved this one too except for the fact the points life support machine hasn't been turned off yet.
Our candle is flickering.

My negative thinking tells me he wants fewer not more people in attendance due to the levels of hostility aimed at him.

Don't know if it's just heresay, but I was told weeks ago that Donny had requested a further 500 tickets & been knocked back which seemed a bit strange, given the extra revenue that would have brought in.
Even though it's on the tele, I reckon Donny supporters will just turn up to pay on the day to possibly see their lads pick up the Championship.
Sounds like it's gonna be a nice bit of OT for Mr Plod ?!

Just seen this from "Bally1950":

RE: HARTLEPOOL GAME LIVE ON SKY

"Just dawned on me---SkyTV---Hartlepool---Jeff Stelling, a real mugging and he can say if they win Donny only a pub team and I have no argument today."

And the crowd being loud will give us how many points? I think the players may have to do their bit or is that too much to ask?

Really? I honestly just thought that having a loud crowd would give us the points by default.
