I have just read that Spennymoor are in a play off final tomorrow, by 5 O'Clock we could be one division apart!

Also fingers crossed York stay up.

Was over there this week with work. They need quite an upgrade to facilities when they get promoted . Met the Chairman etc, very forward-thinking club with a decent ground already. Up the Moors!!

Been to watch them a few times this season, the players they have on the books they should have won the league but Blyth have been outstanding.
Wasn't too impressed the other night in the semi final, they were the slightly better team but as a spectacle it was rather grim! They'll have to play a lot better tomorrow against Stourbridge who were very unlucky last season not to go up, their cup run probably cost them.

About 5 years ago we were 7 divisions above them.
How quickly it can change.

Where they are is down to them. We look like 'Arfur Daley' F.C. (Fucked Completely). We are getting closer because they are getting a lot better.
How did we end up in this great steaming pile of shite?

It's been coming for the last five years if the worst happens I'm ready for it for one I'm almost bored of this constant 'great escape' bollocks and focusing on the wrong end of the table. To use a Snowy type analogy it's like visiting relative who's been on life support for years, you'll be sad to see them go but you are privately relieved the suffering is over.

Somehow managing to stay up might even paper over gaping cracks and mean people who deserve hounding out of the club get off lightly from certain quarters. As I said I'm ready for the worst but will no doubt be a nervous wreck come three O'Clock and even worse if we manage to take matters to next week.

We could fall out Mr Elvis, think of poor Evenwood Town!!!!!

Mind you I do miss the derby with the Poors, always had a few pints and a good chat with some of their supporters! Very honest and knowledgeable lot (apart from the bit of history they wiped out of their memories)!

As I have said many times before, success is usually aligned to having a good manager but more importantly a supportive and knowledgeable chairman , who in turn has behind him or her a good board of directors, backed up by a dedicated band of club employees, all pushing in the right direction and singing from the same hymn sheet. It is no coincidence that our bests years were when we had something resembling this between 1999 and 2008 , once that started to erode our decline started.

Jason Ainsley for Pools then, if the TNS manager can be touted as a possible candidate , why not ?

.

I'm resigned to it. Some people must think we order a Great Escape kit every year from Amazon. In fact we all know what happened to the great escapers in the end.
We've been dippping our toe in the crocodile pool too many times recently, well it's worked out we're mugs and grabbed us by the leg, it may well pull us into the pool about five o'clock tonight.

I live about 9 miles from AFC Fylde. Tidy new stadium but fuck me how are we going to be in the same division as them?

Cos they have ambition and we have anything but. We've been sleep walking to this for a good 2/3/4 seasons now so can't say it comes as a shock if it happens today.

Coxall gambled with squad depth in Jan, and its backfired. To get relegated with a game to spare is some effort considering the position we were in

One of the few positives is surely that charlatan will be hounded out of Town when this is confirmed.

How many people think he'd have the bottle to turn up next week?

I imagine the 'big plans' he's been 'working hard on' will be miraculously 'unaffected by dropping out of the league'.

And that sort of guano will be enough to convince some people.

He is here till at least parachute payments and season ticket money is collected.

I know people like to say "I'll be there and getting season ticket as that's what fans do" but no1 should buy a ticket to ensure he doesn't have chance to walk away with the cash
