It looks like our best and only option but we need to get as many people on board as quickly as possible. Would it be possible to get some sort of advert in the papers for the trust or contact the local t.v stations and get it publicised in avery way we can.

Their are hundreds of fans who are sitting on the fence and need some positive persuasion to make the jump. Come on jump!!!

The appointment of Jeff and Barron will hopefully generate the publicity needed.

Can anyone legally qualified tell me what would happen if say someone put £100,000 into the fund?
Do they lose that money entirely? Do they have a stake in the club if the fans take over running the club.
Do they in effect lose their money? Can they get it back?

I'm just thinking if a few individuals decided to put in the required money in order for the trust to become a major force in taking over HUFC, how does it work?

I'ts perfectly feasible to have say a 10% stake in a fan owned club. It would need legal advise but my first thought is that it's possible.

How much is needed to take over from this current shower?
I guess that would be asked at this meeting that has tried to be arranged?

Looking at them videos it suggests that some fan owned clubs are ones where they have majority shareholders but also private investment as well am I right in saying?

I think that is a message that we can use them - often the sceptics say that we don't have the clout or numbers to do it, but if the message is that we can with the right help alongside us, then let's get that out there

Its always easy to be a naysayer. You don't put anything on the line and sometimes you can sit back and gloat.

Usually it doesn't matter whether you think you can do something or you think you can't, either way you'll be right.

Depends on the Trust Constitution, but in general I believe Trusts are set up with a strict one member/one vote policy - so someone can come in and make a big donation to the Trust, but they gain no more rights over what the trust does than any other member. Understandably this can mean larger investors look at the Trust model with some caution - usually if you're putting in plenty of wedge, you want to have more control than just being able to vote on issues at Trust meetings.

There is no particular requirement however for a Trust to be the sole owner/investor. Hereford FC have a system where the Club (as opposed to Trust) Constitution says that private investors are welcome, but they are unable to purchase enough of the club to become de facto owners - I think the Trust will always own at least 51% of the shares. That leaves a door open where someone might for example put in their 100K for say a 10% stake, get a seat on the board and influence things that way, but that the Trust is still in overall charge.

This is the only way forward, I mentioned it on here when those other cowboys tried to buy the club: The only people wanting to buy a 4th (soon to be 5th) tier club are A) Local rich business men B) Cowboys C) Fans.

If you're very very lucky you'll get an A like Bournemouth but usually it'll be a B who comes riding along with false promises like so many other clubs before us (Stockport, Hereford etc.) only to drain the club of assets then vanish. We as the fans must come together and take control of our football club, it doesn't matter if we're in League 1, League 2 or non-league this is the ONLY way forward. Plenty of teams have bounced back as fan owned clubs and at least we have a council owned football ground to play in.

Start a campaign, fuundraisers, season ticket money to the ST, whatever it takes. We need to take back our football club NOW.

The trust ultimately will have to have a few business people leading it. That can come later. Bt it needs to happen.

And it will.
