Says the same in the Injuries bit of the OS every week:

'Rob Jones (Knee)
Rob twisted his knee during the second half of the game at Port Vale and was stretchered off. We will keep on treating this injury and get him back to fitness as soon as possible.'

Jones has featured in 5 games so far this season and I reckon it will be a miracle if he gets to double figures by May. We could do with a miracle like.

Just watched the highlights and whilst the team as a whole were obviously poor and were equally to blame I was very disappointed with the goalkeeper on the last two goals. Not that it would have made any difference.
Would not be surprised to see the Boro lad in on Tuesday

If you are pointing the finger at individuals you can't just do so at Bartlett although I agree that he could and should have done much better with two of the goals. Harrison and in particular Bates should both hang their heads in shame for their part too - but hey as we all know both would probably not feature in the first XI of any other FL club and in a better scenario would have long since been chased along with the likes of Laurent, Carroll etc

Not in the slightest - Harrison returned and upped his game sufficiently to retain his place but that says absolutely nowt as there is effectively no competition for him until Magnay is fit enough to return. Nsiala seems to be holding his own at Shrewsbury albeit with infinitely better players than Pools possess around him. He wouldn't or maybe couldn't play for Hignett though.

Toto was another Jack Ross. Moved here with his girlfriend she had no mates here obviously by all accounts within a few weeks it was clear he didn't want to be here either.

I'm not disgruntled about his sale it's the fact we got a fee for player we signed on a free six months before and we have not replaced him we put a 17 year old kid on at right back today.

At some point you've just gotta look at it and say, fuck it... Hartlepool are wank at football, and that's the top and bottom of it. We support one of the worst teams in the country. End of.

Well even though I first started going in the 70's as a kid I still do give a fuck and hope I always do. Losing is one thing what is happening with the club is another

Well buy yourself a season ticket for one of the self proclaimed 'big three' and spare us your philosophy.
Oh... and who gives a flying fuck what the 'North of England' thinks.
Have a nice day.

The season has a certain inevitability about it.
We've been playing on a minefield with our league status for several years recently, but this season seems to have an hopelessness about it. Lots of bland reassurances from the club but......

Can't see it myself. Think we back to the fag end days of IOR when everything was run on a shoestring and the biggest wage earners will be those running the club.

I think we're worse off than when IOR where here. They may have talked shite as well but we knew where we stood with them and they knew how to work within their means and run a company.

I think age is irrelevent, he had a good debut and didn`t let anyone down, made a few good runs and linked up well with Nelson, better than Richards.

I would play Kieran Green in the middle, he is feisty and tackles hard, watched him on Tuesday and played well after return from injury, we need a niggly bastard in the middle.

I was not singling out the goalkeeper they were all as bad as each other just that I could see a change in that position which does not happen very often. You can change any of the others and it will not make much difference it's just a matter of opinions.
Green did get a start earlier in the season and looked totally out of place. As monkeybut knows reserve team is way below league football and he is playing against kids as a general rule.

Can guarantee the post match interview will be "Amond had a great chance, if that goes in we win the game. We know what we need to do it's just getting that into the players. We go again next week"

We've fucked up massively by ignoring the fact we simply can't defend for the last 5 years.

Jones will be out of here before we know it.

Pretty much word for word ffs.

I could do this management lark.

I just wish I'd put my tenner I had on pools/scorers into the score prediction I made on this thread.

Jones aftermatch interview is always a statement of:
We a very young team.
As if thats supposed to take the blame off himself.

No it's stating fact.

I really can't be arsed to start reading people starting to blame another manager when he's been here for four games especially when every week more experienced players are leaving the club and being replaced.

If Jones is part of the owners then I'm sure there's deeper meaning to all of this.

He took the job because he has little to lose. Unless we get relegated that is.

Even if we are relegated he will say he inherited shite. The job may put him off management once and for all though.

You can't blame the manager cos of the shite he has inherited.

But playing 442 with how weak any combination in centre midfield we have is ludicrous. To think there's people who think we have to play 442 as well. If we persist, thumping like yesterday will be more regular, especially away from home.

That is something the manager can control!

Bartlett looked pretty decent when he got his chances before the current run - and I'm not that convinced that he is that bad now.

If I was him I'd be crapping myself about the reject and the pensioner in front of me................

We half sorted some problems out by getting rid of players. Bit like Bob we partially got rid of shit.

According to Jones at that Q & selective A session there are LOADS of free transfers who can be signed outside of the windows. Still waiting to see who he's on about as the trialists, by most accounts, didn't impress recently.
Fact is we can't even afford people who are out of work, we have to rely on youngsters who's wages are subsidised.

Age is irrelevant if the lad is good enough, I'm sure he is better than Richards my Nana is but that's not why I said that. Since January three defenders have left the club, two permanently and one on loan. Only Carroll has been replaced with a loan signing. Our defence has been crap all season, especially away from home, our keeper is out for the season and we have actually weakened our defensive options rather than got people in which seems absolutely suicidal to me.

If they are still free transfers in February then they must be utter guano

Bartlett injured. Well that makes the decision easy for Jones as I posted earlier his place must have been in doubt.
