agree. can,t understand all the outpoaring of grief you get nowadays when someone they have never known or met dies. save it for a friend or family member. if its never happened to you due to age i assure you its going to happen sometime.

I'd be more inclined to agree with the RIP comment. She was what she was but 45 is no age.

she lived the life she was brought up into, rebelled, got pissed, got clean, took drugs, got clean again.

But she was someones daughter, shame to see a women of 45 die no matter who they are.

RIP

Just maybe, her death was a result of her 'lifestyle'. So no surprise, 45 or not.

Well now there are any amount of young people among the 200,000 who die every day in the world.
I feel sorry for them all and their close ones, but which ones ought you to single out for a special RIP?
I know as much about this person as I do about some kid in Colombia.

Come on people, Jesus. You're better than that surely?

She's known to a lot more people than the poor homeless fella who just died in a doorway three streets away from where you live but I have not seen anything in this thread to suggest that we're saying one is more important than the other.

The sole reason for the post is surely that she is, for whatever reason, in the public eye (to a certain extent) and she's no longer with us so out of respect for a fellow human being we acknowledge their passing.

If we all knew the homeless person who died we'd mark their passing too.

Sort it out.

Shilts, your "You're better than that surely?" offends me, as all moralist posts do.
I do not have the slightest idea who this person is. I've never heard of her. She has never had the least interaction with my conscience.
I don't do RIPs for all 200k people who die every day and it's not now I'm going to start. Ask me to give a s.hit about people who are alive and in difficulty - that's a different matter.

Oh FFS.

Completely missed the point. I'll explain in different words and for the record it's got fuck all to do with morals.

Woman dies who is known to some but not all. One of the people who knows of her posts a thread announcing it. Those who know of her pass comment in the usual way that people do when someone dies, 'RIP', 'It's a shame', 'feel for the family' etc etc whatever.

Then you get the ones with the 'waste of space', 'spunked her chance', 'born with a silver spoon in her mouth, fuck her'.

If you're from a variation of the latter group, why fucking bother posting at all? Just so disrespectful regardless of whether you know the person or not. Would you make comments similar to those if MY dad died? You know fuck all about him too, or me and you wouldn't care less and I wouldn't ask you to but I reckon I'd be pretty safe to say if this was the case, you wouldn't come on the board and say it's a pointless post because it would be in massively bad taste and you'd get banned no doubt.

I just have no idea why people in the latter group would bother saying anything. Absolutely no benefit to such negative, disrespectful bilge.

I think her death is sad in the same way that anyone's death is sad (inevitable as it is) whether I know nthem or not. No I won't shed a tear or lose any sleep over it or give it much thought but I certainly see no reason to broadcast to the World about how unsympathetic I am, hence the why I think people should be better than that.

Speaking of which has anyone seen that Amy (winehouse) fillum? I saw it recently and really enjoyed it in a sort of horrible 'isn't it depressing and tragic' way. I felt very sorry for her after it in fact. A mentally vulnerable girl who got abused by people who loved her

I don't get that don't say nothing bollocks neither

Some people are c.unt.s and no mistake and death won't change that (Not that I think TPT was), but it's a fact

For example, my alcoholic stepfather made my mam, brother and sisters life uberable, he was cold, hard hearted bastard who fucked off almost every person he came across, a vile, vile, c.u.nt.

When he popped his cirrioused little socks my opinion didn't change and I wouldn't piss on his grave if was allergic to piss

For what it's worth I saw TPT in the Belsize Park area of London around ten years ago. It was a Saturday afternoon, and she was off her face. She had a tiny pair of denim shorts on with her arse cheeks hanging right out of them.

She was clinging round the neck of a tubby, balding middle aged bloke who looked like he was probably wealthy. It was a very sad scene, had the air of self-destruct about her, same as lots of people I know/have known. It seems like some people are just born to destroy themselves.

I agree Mr Avenger, there are some absolute not nice people in the world, dead or alive but what is the point in literally wasting your breath on one that's dead? The only one with high blood pressure is the one feeling the anger. Just don't waste your energy. It achieves nothing.

If you can't be rude about the likes of a dead Tarabararar-Boomdeye-Plomkinson who can you be rude about? She was like an extremely shit royal cousin who loved opiates. Hard to give a shit.

Really Mr Toulouse? That's your honest view? Certainly didn't think you'd come out with that.

Oh well, you live and learn.

It's reverse snobbery she was a victim of the system as much as any other addict. (I expect the same remarks if anything happens the Gazza) .. Mental illness and addiction knows no class structure.

There's no need to slag her off, but.... There's no need to defend her either.
