Smacks of signing people for the sake of it.

One of the worst transfer windows in living memory, and we've had some bad ones in recent years.

Exactly I clocked that as well. Truly mental desperation it seems, we have plenty of strikers never mind a couple of kids brought in on loan

Probably bring another left back in as well next, we need to double and triple on all of the positions we don't need anyone for.

I miss the days of the four right back minimum.

Maybe Paynters injury is long term? If it is we probably did need a striker just not kids with no experience of mans football at least this kid from Plymouth has played a bit the kid from Sunderland I fail to see how he's going to play a game....

Wonder who scouted him then? Our manager who been out of the game for 3 years or the assistant from New Zealand?

No doubt both great knowledge of Plymouth and Sunderland reserves.

So we sell 2 defenders and a midfielder and decide to bring in 18 strikers?

When you put it like that it almost sounds bad.

Coxhall has some serious explaining to do, but as usual I imagine it'll be the usual bollocks rhetoric.

Wouldn't surprise me if he pulled out of the talk on Friday at last minute. His silence on Twitter implies he knows people are onto him, and I don't believe he has any satisfactory answers to give people. Even the truth at this stage will piss people off.

More to the point is, despite having 700 strikers too many, most of them won't get any game time which'll just piss of the clubs who loaned us these players. We'll not get any more favours and we'll get a reputation (if we don't have already) of a club that fobs off young players whilst pulling the wool over the eyes of other clubs. Unless Jones is planning a 1-1-8 formation.

I get it now, we are going to play 10 strikers and just hope we score more than them....Simples! Should see some entertaining games 9-7,11-8, 6-4 etc not necessarily in our favour though. FFS!

With the form they've been on, I'm surprised the Mail hasn't gone with a 'Pools swoop to sign football star Rooney' headline.

Well the big January Announcement that we signed ROONEY was well worth waiting for.
That February cheap ticket offer sounds like a good deal now.

Argyle fan in peace :D

He's a good finisher given a run of games he will surely score a few. I honestly think he will get more goals than our two new strikers between now and end of season

We have a habit of loaning players and never playing them sadly.

Welcome to the board btw.

It's one that we are hopeful for perhaps the most natural finisher at the club. Adams instead opting for 3 6ft4 lumps to bundle in 1 in 10

My Plymouth mate reckons a lot of their fans wanted him to be starting games in their current team.

What happened to Rueben Reid? He still at Plymouth? I thought he was a class act and destined for better things.
