A true Pools supporter through thick and thin. I remember following Pools when we were 15/16 yrs old and she would be there with her husband to be Dave (Spider) French. Will be sadly missed around the ground as she spent most of her time there after Dave died. RIP Kath.

Sad news indeed. :(

Does anyone know if the old guy who I guess worked in hospitality still works at Pools? Grey hair, glasses. Used to stand on the Cyril boxes balcony during games and tell people to shift. Not seen him for a few games now.

No Kath was an old seatonian, it was bill Waite who used to run pools on the move and the match day lottery who lived at Throston Close

Very sad indeed Kath was a wonderful lady. Just to answer the question about the man who works in the boxes, he is fine I've known him for a very long time.

I heard this sad news today, though was aware she had been ill for some time through her son Dave. I remember getting a bollocking off her at an away game once ( Kidderminster ? ) for being nasty on the message boards.

A club legend.

Condolences to the family.

Aye, I've had a couple of those bollockings, Chip. She called at our house one Saturday morning with Stu Harland for bacon sandwiches before we all went off to watch Pools. Bacon sarnies at our gaff was a regular occurrence on the way to away games. My bacon sarnies are far better than Monkeybutts.
R I P Kath. You and Spider are Poolie Legends. Condolences to young Spider and the rest of the family. We all loved your Mam.
