Heard there's some land behind Pools, they could be the hotel foyer sofas.

Some charities look for second-hand furniture, if it's in sufficiently good nick, so that they can sell it on. They call and pick up free of charge.

Well, give it a wash then, Tree. After that, you might even decide to keep it :)

Ms Grabec is correct Charities and some Churches will collect for free. However the Sofa must have a Kite Mark and all the other H&S Gubbins etc.

I once got a White Van Man to collect an old Sofa that was neatly upstairs in a spare bedroom. It then cost a fortune to redecorate the stairway! Not Value for Money!

Pretty sure my pet rat - Hermantrude bit all the tags/h&s gubbins off.

Does it prefer them to pizza crusts? Had no idea rats were fussy eaters.

Phil beat me to it, was going to say Freecycle too. pretty sure someone will take it, stuff flies off that site all the time.

Managed to get rid of a garden pond once, it was fit for the skip, didn't want to put it in the car - within 24 hours it was gone.
