They are mutters, especially with SPMC installed and Exodus.

Turns it into Netflix but with everything ever released on it. Don't get one off someone who will "pre-load" it for you though, they charge a fortune and it takes 20 minutes to do it all yourself with videos from youtube.

I got one the other week (early off Santa). Well worth the £8? a month just for the amount of box sets/films/music etc. If, like my mate you order stuff often from Amazon, with Prime you get free delivery so it pays for itself. And you can watch Grand Tour (the proper Top Gear). Brilliant

Mr Mutley, go online and get Amazon Prime free for a month, to give it a try, then order your Firestick from them (free delivery). Win win if it works.

Agree with yloop I've seen people charge £60- £100 for a preloaded stick. They usually fill it with crap and pointless add ons. All I use is Exodus (TV and films) and Sportsmania (All live sport). Sportsmania is a few quid a month but worth it as you get HD streams.

I use ultimate mania, bit more than sports but with TV etc. thrown in as well. Can't complain at all.

I've been up on the roof twiddling with my aerial and can now get BBC2! With 625 lines! I can now watch all that intellectual shite and Joan Bakewell on "Late Night Line Up". I've gone screaming into the '60s.

are they that easy to install everything on them I've been paying £50 notes for them and I've bought about 50 for various people, but if the is any problems with any them he takes them back and sorts it out. I subscribed to sportsmania for my father on it 27 notes for 6 months and it's brilliant all HD sport and no buffering

It's very simple, just search on YouTube and plenty of step by step tutorials available. It would surprise me that the bloke you're taking it back too just deletes and reinstalls everything which takes around 15 mins. Sportsmania is worth every penny, I've never had an issue with it.

You only have problems if someone puts one of those awful builds on (the beast etc.). They install so much crap your firestick can't handle it and eventually goes tits up.

If you keep it basic and only install the addons you need then you'll be perfectly fine. Make sure you clear the cache once a week and reset your router and you'll have no issues at all.

Sportsmania is even better if you use the Matrix TV app instead of Kodi/SPMC.

Whats the differnece between SPMC and Kodi then? I installed SPMC the other day and found it no different to Kodi.

I've just started to use Evolve for sports which seems pretty decent at the minute, Sportsdevil is still ok as well

SPMC is designed for android based devices so runs a lot smoother on them, the drivers and support for windows etc. have been stripped out meaning it's ideal for firesticks etc.

I can't use the free sports ones, too much hunting around and messing on. Would rather pay and have it guaranteed to work. Sportsmania has backup links for everything.

So iv got two apps on my iPhone which show all the sky sports channels aswell as BT and pay per view. Can I somehow link my phone to my tv to watch them on there?

Mr Yloop I'll pm after Xmas day. I have a strange problem. Netflix via the Amazon Firestick tells me there is no account under that EMail address and password. Netflix on the telly won't work as there is no Internet access, yet Netflix works fine on the Laptop, and the BT box and laptop have no Internet problems?

I know it sounds stupid... but have you got the logins correct? You'd be surprised...

If you're getting or already have an Amazon Prime subscription then the fire stick is a bargain and must have. Stick Kodi/SPMC on and you can drop Sky/Virgin etc., especially if you get a sportsmania or starsports sub too.
Don't bother with the remote with the voice search if you're going down the kodi/spmc path though as it doesn't work in them properly.

Just put the fire tv app on your phone and use that as a remote, makes it much easier when searing for programs or adding different apps

Apart from Sportsmania is there any other channels recomended for the live sports channels.

Most start off ok then after about 20 mins will start buffering n freezing etc.

The free ones are terrible, as soon as there's a good one it gets too busy and it slows down.

I thought that was the case DAZ.
Just that someone last week told me they use Sportsdevil and watch the full 90 minutes with a perfect picture.
I thought he was obviously bullshitting but cheers for the confirmation.

It probably depends on what game is on etc. I've used MamaHd which is in sportsdevil when games are on Sky/BT and had a full match with no buffering before.

I've been watching the darts on there this afternoon and had the best part of 2 hours with no buffering and a spot on picture

It's definitely worth the few quid a month for Sportsmania, it's never buffered once for me and I watch a few games a week, all in HD as well.

loads of apps now on iphone for free streams that are spot on so i dont bother with kodi box now.

I use NJM football and Halow TV - both popular addons but have very few problems with them. And my internet speed is seriously, seriously shit. Watched all of the darts on Halow, it sometimes cuts out after about 3 hours but clicking again will bring it straight back.

With Kodi I use Plex which allows you to use Acestream links commonly found on Reddit, Livetv, etc. Get a decent stream off Reddit usually. Bloodzeed's stream is always spot on. Other than that Phoenix sports had SD Sky Sports which is ok if you have a decent broadband connection.
