Hi all, new here, go easy on me :)

Reason for joining, my Dad when he was a young boy was collecting Hartlepool programmes, and has been a fan ever since, that has then passed to me, which is slightly unusual since we are Celtic fans from Glasgow (not many Pool fans here!)

I've decided to treat him to our first Hartlepool game as a Christmas present, looks like we'all be travelling down for the Stevenage game on 21st January. Looking for some advice on what'/ the best stand to sit in? Was thinking the Niramax terrace, or is this a bad idea in the middle of winter with a 3 hour drive home after the game? Because let's be honest, it'll be pouring down!

The Bob Monkhouse terrace is a bit more sheltered, but if you want real protection against the cold and rain you can't beat the Des O'Connor.

You're from Glasgow and you're worried about a bit of rain?

If you don't fancy the drive back, I recommend an overnight at the Crimdon Dene Caravan Park. It's been trashed by generations of Glaswegian holidaymakers, so you'll feel right at home.

Weirdly they sponsored a Ladies Darts team in Bish Vegas a few years ago! The Caravan Park not the Glaswegian holidaymakers! :confusion-confused:

I have obviously been out of the loop of Bunker threads for too long, at what point did we actual help JamesM here?

Update guys, he loved the present and the tickets were delivered yesterday. We're both absolutely buzzing to come down, first of many hopefully

We may be tighter at the back now with a centre half leaving!
