Heres a couple of names for you:

Salfords bad boy managers Bernard Morley & Anthony Johnson- imagine what fettle they'd have given our spineless fuckers. Twp proper nasty bastards !

Tony Mowbray-local lad bound to be in the frame?

Paul Cox at Barrow -doing well there - got Mansfield back in the league.

Salford's managers aren't football managers. Just a thug duo who shout at what is probably the most expensive squad of players in their league.

Mowbray hasn't done anything anywhere he's been has he?

Cox I don't know much about other than what you've said. Why leave a team on the up for a team well and truly in the shit and heading rapidly towards where you currently are.

Personally I fully expect Coxall to stick with Hignett. It's his man and it seems he can't afford to sack him. If he did go, expect a cheap replacement like Sam Collins or even Bates.

Mowbray likes his teams to play pretty football, but he is a complete shitebag. Teams generally have little fight or backbone.

Yeah, lets hope he doesn't leave Derby for this job...

Is he back at Derby? When did that happen?

I don't think Pools could afford to sack Hignett, didn't he get a 3 year contract which would probably be the same for Fleming ?

If they stay till their contracts are up we'll be so far down the leagues we'll need diving suits.

Hughes was let go as he wanted more investment in the team wasn't he? Do you think he'd come back when the current owners have even less money. Id have Wadsworth back but he's probably on more money as a coach than we'd pay him as a manager and under considerably less pressure.

It could be that we have two main options

1. keep Hignett and have a small budget for getting players in on loan in January
2. use up all the budget in getting rid of Hignett and Fleming and have no money for recruits

Can we trust Hignett to recruit wisely? Don't shoot me I only postulate the question!

Coxhall should be fully aware of employment law and what options he has to get rid of Hignett at minimum cost. If he has given an inexperienced man a 2 or 3 year contract then he clearly lacks judgement and common sense.

An alternative, as someone has already suggested, would be to put him on gardening leave (for abusing fans yesterday for example) and bring in someone on a short term contract to oversee the playing side. That would only tie up a part of any available budget and if we go tits up at the end of the season there will be no funds to pay redundancy to the one who caused the problem. Is there such a person out there who is experienced but currently out of work and might not fancy the job long term but would want to put themselves in the shop window short term?

We that skint we probably have to pay off the contracts with part of the Nathan Thomas money.
Im assuming he will be sold on as weve made no dosh from cup runs this season.

The players clearly arent playing for the manager and like i said yesterday if hes stays we good as down.

The way i see it our league status is now totally in the hands off Coxall.

Left Inverness in the summer because he was unhappy at the lack of investment too.

Don't mention Slade this close to Christmas.

If we could afford him and he wanted to drop so far down the league to a club with zero budget to spend in January, that's not a bad shout. I suspect he'd hold out for a bigger club though.
