Nothing wrong with loan signings as long as they're of the quality that can improve the team.

If it's wasn't for the likes of Mirfin, Tshibola, Hugill, Jackson, Williams, Burgess and others we'd have gone out of the League in recent years.

I'd be scouring every club in the country if I was Pools to try and find a centre half and central midfielder who can come in and make a difference. If I could pick any two we've had over the last few years who could improve us now it would be David Mirfin and Tshibola. Two like those please!

Seriously this suggests our finances are in poor shape. Furthermore, 30 or so journeymen pros are bleeding our cash flow. Why oh why every year to we keep several younger players who have shown no sign of being good enough and this year then sign loads more in the hope that one of the dozen makes it. I would rather 2 honest experienced lads.

Surely a manager can put that frame of mind into a player, maybe not Featherstone though. Just crack some of Zippy's jokes and they'll want to kick the nearest player in the air.

If we want someone nasty how embarrassing to come our and say that as a manager. Mirfin was never nasty just read the game well in the great escape season. We need people who can do the basics, mark run, anticipate and pass more than just wind!

We do people seem surprised we have no money? It was always the case and we were always going to bring some players in on loan no matter how we have started?

It's hard for people to come to terms with us being potless after becoming accustomed to us splashing the cash in January under the stewardship of Ken Hodcroft. I mean it was only FFP that stopped us spending millions. Ken didn't believe in the loan system so we never loaned a single player during the last 6 years of him being chairman. We never relied on cheap loan players at all.

We're not running at about the same level as we have been for about 8 years at all it's totally different. Completely different.

After a couple of defeats and especially a heavy one it becomes open season on the various forums for people to spout any old shite, provided its negative anything goes.
