Not sure what the corrolation is there?

Footballs academy system has always been incestuous. Always will be. Doesnt mean there will be kiddie fiddling going on.

From what I have seen reported most of this from the 80's. If there is anything current, then that would be a serious worry.

Why should football back then have been any different to what has happened at the BBC or any care home during the same era.

The world appears to have been full of nonces. And probably still is.

Hopefully all the kiddy fiddlers finish up behind bars where they belong. Meantime DBS (CRB) checks have made it much harder for the likes of Burnell to hide what they are by moving around.

Will be tough on Crewe if it's proved that they ignored complaints about him in the past. And any other club in that situation.

Gradi is guilty by association.

Nonces were/are everywhere sadly. They gravitate to roles and jobs where they can get access to children. Don't think that there aren't any still working at the BBC or in kids football and other sports, because they will be.

Thankfully it is harder for them to operate without impunity these days, DBS checks and technology means they're easier to track, and children are taken more seriously and are generally more valued than they were.

What I find hard to stomach is the blind eye turners, who try to cover things up to avoid drawing attention to organisations that harbour paedos.

Do you think people are afraid to call them out?

It's a pretty bold claim to say...

This guy here is a pedo.

Imagine you get it wrong!

There is that fear, but they make themselves intimidating in other ways. Very manipulative and have ways of implicating innocent people in things to cover themselves.

Innocent people don't behave in odd ways like paedos do, so I wouldn't hesitate to call one out if I thought there was enough evidence.

When you say many does that mean you have come across at least one?

Heard yesterday from a friend of mine who was out drinking many years ago with an ex Darlo player who was playing for Crewe at the time, said that this player told him all sorts of dodgy stuff was going on (allegedly) and it wasn't just Bennell who was involved. Put it this way, if what he alleged was indeed going on, then a certain MBE holder will find himself losing his title and spending a few years behind bars.

I think the fat man will back me up here but from my time as a forensic scientist the level of this type of crime well kids going "missing" is roughly the same since about the 50's sadly it's due to people not coming forward. I been involved in evidence of this and reading MO about it all is horrendous. I am glad more media about it as its less likely to be covered up. Worst ever group on this is the church.

Eric Bristow seems an intelligent man.

For anyone not on Twitter, he reckons Football is not a mans game like Darts because these players didn't catch up with this 'poof' as adults and give him a good hiding.

He has since corrected himself and pretty much glossed over it all with the Tweet 'sorry meant Paedo not poof'

Cheers Eric.

He also said

"Bet the rugby lads are ok"

What a tit

Wondered how long it would be before someone started blaming the victims

Next he'll be claiming darts is a sport.

Besides, someone has given that Bennell fella a hiding haven't they? Or was it a darts player who did that?

No point in discussing, he got shafted. This is the stem of the arguement. Mind you some might say he needs to be in the Mad House.
