I wouldn't go that far.

He's got as many League Two promotions as relegations (one each Rotherham up, Boston down) to do well at Mansfield he'll probably need a big budget as he'd had at any other clubs were he's had any sort of success. He's hardly a Neil Warnock. He got Crawley up into the league with an enormous budget and he got Boston up, the less said about some of stuff going on there the better. His biggest achievement was Rotherham in League One really but again he was managing the club at a good time on the up moving into a new stadium.

Above all he's a genuine embarrassment on the touchline and to the clubs he manages and I would find it very hard to go and watch Pools if he ever got anywhere our dug out. Him and Mansfield are a good fit, unlike his gigantic suits.

I don't think the manager exists who has had a constant string of relative success at different clubs at different levels. Maybe Ian Holloway or Danny Wilson come closest. Not that I've checked or owt like.

fat horrible sod will really suit mansfield who are supported by similar types.
