My missus Astra doors won't open when pressing the key fob or even when you pop the plastic housing left of handle and use key manually. Any help?

Battery in the key fob might be on the way out.

The key would still work. It happened to ours last week, the batteries were flat on both fobs but you can still get in and start the car. You could open the door with the key that pops out if the plastic casing then start the car by putting down the clutch and pressing the start button with the key fob. Don't ask me how that worked but it did, I looked it up and a YouTube video came up.

Just to educate you all, in future buy a Lada, you do not need to lock it as no one will nick it. Saving battery problems. They run on beetroot juice, cheaper than petrol and for you posers no-one else in the neighbourhood will have one! Oh and they cost 50p to buy ,probably!
