The only player I was disappointed with on Saturday was deverdics, I thought he was generally quite poor. He gave the ball away a hell of a lot and shirked most challenges, when he had the ball at his feet it was like a hot potato, he couldn't wait to get rid of it! Will give him more time to get to grips with league football again though.

I normally don't rate Richards at all but I'd probably say that's the best defensive display I've seen him put in at pools, just kept it simple and stuck to his position, hopefully he can keep it up!.

Overall a very good win which I wasn't expecting after the first 20 mins, hopefully we can build on it now and get a first home win. Two last things, Grimsby is a right shithole and that bar in the ground is really odd, like being in a badly decorated living room!
