Heard a little whisper they are moving ground. Hasn't been mentioned on Sky Sports at all......

Is the time travel thing with the supporters taking football back to the early 80's all part of the nostalgia/celebrations?

It's a very odd way to say farewell to your ground by turning the area around the ground into a Burbery clad war zone sctatchinghead

Also do two more odious people excist in football than Messrs Gold and Sullivan?

I can't remember anywhere near this fuss ever being made for any other ground even when the old Wembley was flattened.

I had to switch Sky Sports News off, an almighty feature on West Ham's 'history/awesome past players' love in, and what's with the fucking 'Boleyn Ground' I guess that's it's proper name, but never heard it called that until the last week or so.
I'm sure Arsenal didn't get this treatment from Sky, when they left Highbury.....it's truly bizarre !
Nice to see the local 'yobs' joining in the with the celebrations....

Happy memories in the 80's on the District Line watching visiting supporters getting off at West Ham tube station instead of staying on and going through Plaistow station and eventually getting off at Upton Park.
Incidentally I was not going to watch West Ham...l had other reasons for being there.

This exactly.

I cant believe that Plod, the FA, The media, and West Ham Utd, didnt realise that by bigging this up, and not just thr ground.........the amount of media coverage discussing the historic area around the ground etc etc...........Historic????....they mean Green Street.

All it did was give all of those, not just west ham fans, but all of the so-called football hooligans, the chance to Reminisce about their halcyon days, even though they were all just fucking morons.

All of those that still think Green Street is a great film for example.

And I fully expect someone to come on and say I just didnt understand the culture.

And they are right. I didnt understand it then and dont now.

But at least last nights behaviour made them all look like utter cock ends.

You don't understand the culture.

The sheer thrill of spending £300 on a jumper then standing behind a line of police waving your hands shouting "Come on then".. Honestly, it's such a majestic feeling.

This - I can't recall sports journalists ever ever referring to Upton Park as the Boleyn Ground - now that it's being knocked down they're all feckin' doing it.

Fully expect to find out next week that White Hart Lane is really the Anne of Cleves stadium.

When Ken was thinking about electrifying his fences around the ground I believe you were employed as his Tester in Chief. One of your remits was to take 100,000 volts up your arse at Ken's discretion which explains the inane ramblings you feel the need to plague this board with nowadays.
