Is Thomas fit? Don't know whether to back 3-0 if he isn't, or 5-0 if he is.

We have been winning at home without playing well in the last few home matches.
I think we will see Pools play well today and get the win.

3-1 Thomas, James 2
4752

York have been playing well at home in their last 2 matches but they are a very poor away team and will be desperate to win today - should leave themselves open for Pools to counter.

I don't see it as a home banker they've not been getting thrashed by anyone and they have to win. If we do get an early goal I reckon it could turn out like that as they are bound to be dispirited. Also the conditions are absolutely awful which might be a factor. A scruffy 1-0 with a Luke James goal in front of 4,432.

Everything says banker, but football has a nasty habit of surprising you. However, if I was a betting man I know who the money would be on.

He did throw in a Flinders distribution classic in the first half for nostalgic purposes. Goal kick out for a throw within their half.

Strange game today. Should have been more comfortable than it was. They were woefully bad. Players seemed exhausted towards the end, the run of fixtures seemed to be catching up with them.

Lack of urgency really, resembled a pre season friendly at times and York seemed in no rush to get the ball or try and score. A few players had off days compared to their recent standard and not sure Duckworth was entirely sure of where to be which is understandable although saying that he got in once or twice.

Could maybe argue the sending off spoiled the game for both sides in a way.

Strange game but job done again.

Did your problems begin when Mrs Thatcher stopped the free school milk

Duckworth isn't suited to that position I think that's clear. Nothing against him, I just think he is better running from deep, can cause more damage doing that.

It was Magnay who supplied the cross for the Winner.

It was a strange game but the win never in doubt even bfor Woodsys winner.
A deserved MOM but Luke James not far behind him in anutha totally commited performance. And to think some posters dident want to see him back in a pools shirt!

The Bishop is going to have a field day correcting your grammar.

A convincing win and another goal would have provided a fairer reflection of the game on balance.

I thought Woods was excellent again with some great passing and did well for his goal. Thomas was superb in the first half and whilst the second yellow against their defender seemed harsh from my view it was testament to the problems he was causing down that flank.

York competed more after they went down to 10 men I thought but ultimately were poor and allowed us far too much time on the ball. It will be a shame to lose them from the league though. Hopefully they can bounce back soon.

There are many things in here that should be rectified before grammar...

Was anybody else freezing today? I was fecking nithered!
What's it with Hignett and his reluctance to use substitutions? Thomas should have gone off at half-time.

4,781 crowd today, only Carlisle at home was higher in the league. How many did York bring sctatchinghead

Hopefully we're getting some fans back as the results have improved which bodes well for season ticket sales in the summer and hopefully an increased player budget and maybe even pay another transfer fee

Not sure what we paid for Nathan Thomas but what a fantastic piece of business that was

Will be our largest gate of the season when we play Pompey, I reckon we could be pushing 5,500.
