I've never been to one, but my mate and his wife have been to a few and they really enjoy them. They get dressed up an all.

In what way do they dress up? Like Sherlock Holmes or summit?

You really have to like that sort of think Tree, like anything you have to make an effort and hope those with you do the same. My one experience was not great but then you have to try things once and then make up your own mind.

I've certainly made mine up confised

A few year ago me and our lass inadvertently got involved in one of these murder mystery nights.

She was working down in Hatfield at the time and I went down to visit her, we went to a local pub for a few drinks and it was packed, half an hour later more people came in but all dressed up in suits walking around chatting to people. A big fella with a beard came over and started talking to us asking us if we have seen his film, we hadn't and started questioning him more about it. He banged on about how good is film is and how it's up for an award tonight at this awards night. We ended up speaking to more people who were in different films and directors etc.. We started wishing people luck and started googling their names etc... Next thing you know every single person in the room we were in got up and then moved into the next room.

Turns out it was a Oscar themed murder mystery night and none of it was real, felt like right dick heads so finished up our drink and bailed.

Well, this is a caring board, so if you want to rename yourself Lady_of_Stranton no-one will mind.
