It does that. A huge prospect lost his way.

Not sure he was ever a huge prospect based on what we saw he looked a player destined for that level. I'm not sure why we loaned him twice after his first spell when he didn't make an impact.

He was fortunate to have earned whatever he did in his contract at Sunderland, he was driving about in a sixty grand car anyway. All that's wrong with the game in this country, too much too soon without proving or achieving anything. Take that little lad we had on loan from Newcastle Campbell last year. He made one appearance at the age of 17 in the first team and got a three year contract on £10,000 a week! Staggering really.

These lads are perceived as mighty and put on pedestals before they've done anything.

He never seemed up for a physical battle at this level never mind the northern league. Since he left Gateshead at the end of the 2014 season he's played for 6 clubs and apart from a few when he's signed for teams has moved on very soon after

Too much too young, sad but true and they always had that, I`m doing you a favour air about them, apart from maybe Charlie Wyke and Luke Williams.

Mandron will probably go the same way, these big clubs can afford to do it, on the off chance they find a star.
