Announced his retirement from football today.

He's not played in two years been a regular pundit on the BBC and even appeared on Celebrity British Bake Off since his last game so this news has come as quite a shock.

I need a sit down.

Stevie Howard hasn't retired yet has he? Think it's finally time for him to return.

That wasn't his fault though, clubs didn't offer him a contract because he was black.

Sol Campbell is black? He's never mentioned it.

Jermaine Jenas still looks about 20. Him and Jamie Redknapp still haven't got a wrinkle between them.

Bastards.

Greening retired when we didn't sign him last year and now he's at York so we still have time

He left York a couple of weeks ago and is back at Taddy. Saw him play for Taddy a few times and was impressed. A bit slow now but can hold the ball up and great distribution. Hard as nails. Interesting proposition thinking about it.

Bit like Bates but with proper talent and competitiveness !

Should say there are 2 Greenings at Tadcaster. Jonathan [the real deal] and his brother Josh the missdeal. don't get the wrong one Ronnie.

Wasn't Jenas one of the young lads who played extremely well in midfield when we played Forest in the League Cup? Doesn't seem that long ago and I remember being very impressed.

Didn't Newcastle go to that game to watch David Prutton but ended up signing Jenas instead?
