The funeral of Norman( Nosh) Watson takes place on Friday 4th December at 12 noon at the Stranton Crematorium.
Norman was a long standing member of the Supporters Association and over the years made a big contribution to the smooth running of the Corner Flag. Norman will be greatly missed. The thoughts of his many friends are with his family at this sad time.
His Wake will take place at the Corner Flag immediately after the service. R.I.P.Norman.

I'm only 21 but from starting going to pools when I was 4 or 5, standing right behind the goal and I can't remember a time when Norman has not been stood there behind me.

He will be missed but lets hope he can help us by taking a few keepers out before the end of the season.

Such a lovely bloke so sad and upset he's gone, been a neighbour for 25 years always had time to talk about pools which he loved,
RIP Norman I know you'll be watching pools from above.

I didn't know Norman by name until by brother told me about his death last week. It kind of hits home that death will come to us all eventually in that like others have said, I remember Norman from when I followed pools back in that late 80s when he always spoke to me. I used to travel all across the country from Hampshire and Surrey, mainly to away games and yet Norman and his mate (bald guy who I think has also since passed) would speak to me as though we had been next door neighbours for years.

He always made me feel welcome, was always there, whoever and wherever we were playing and was probably also the first 'face' I would look for when entering the ground.

If any of his relatives happen to read this, I am genuinely absolutely gutted about his passing. A very special memory. sadx

It's part of the reason we love football but also one of the hardest parts. The people you see year after year, will speak to when you see them and many of them you may never know there name but it doesn't matter; football brings you together. Through football there is people who care even if you've never spoke to but see ever game, you notice when they aren't there. We would speak to Norman but at the Cheltenham game one of the first things we said was 'Oh Normans not here'.

Everyone has there own stories and circumstances but when we go to the match we are all together in support of our team. Slowly people will pass but they are all sadly missed and Norman is one of them people

great send of for Norman today, pools flag on his coffin, people with their pools scarfs on, great to see so many people turn up and delay their travel away to the game tonight.
