Today's ref has done us a favour sending him off and getting him out of our team next week because Mooro would never drop him no matter how shit he was. Trouble is we have shipped out Nearney on loan. Boyce will be on his way back to Scunny and Sick Note Worley won't be around for a while. It looks like Jones or Bates in there next week. Unless he reckons Alan Tate is worth a contract. And Walker has surely played himself out of the team for a while though it will take a hat trick of own goals to get Fanny Featherstone out if the team.

Featherstone is one of if not the biggest problem for me, while grown men choose to spend a Saturday slaughtering a 19 year old kid he gets away with basically cheating his way through a game of football. It's not just that he doesn't make any tackles he regularly bottles them, it's no wonder we struggle to dominate a game. Fanny is a fair nickname.

To be honest I wish Harrison was going back rapidly. At least then he wouldn't get constantly caught for pace through the middle

It looks like a confidence issue to me with Harrison, Harold got the better of him aerially in the first half hour today then he decided he couldn't win a header against him and stood off and looked for the second ball. Surely if you don't win the header a challenge is better?

That ginger Harold isn't a good footballer but is exactly what we don't have, a proper dirty worky ticket bastard who is prepared to cheat to win. We gave the softest team in the country. The keeper looks like the only passionate leader on the pitch.

I absolutely believe the penalty was wrong and the sending off ridiculous however if he had once again defended a straight long ball through the middle with any degree of competence, Harrison wouldn't have put himself in the position.

How many times this season have we conceded goals due to this inability to defend very basic situations?

I like Harrison but this type of goal has got to stop or we'll continue to lose very regularly

Harrison is living of a few good games from last year. Unless you play a guy at the back with pace where going nowhere with him in defence. Another hopeful ball through the middle results in a goal same as Tuesday.

`According` to The Mail the video clearly shows the ball hit Harrison on the shoulder yet Pools are not going appeal ? For me you don't get if you don't ask irrespective of what has happened with previous appeals, similar it was quite clear that the spitting incident wasn't directed at any one, are we trying for relegation ?

Nothing is appealing anymore...

Dunno; I didn't see it properly at the game but on the TV it looks to me as if Harrison had his arms quite close to his sides but he does seem to make a movement towards the ball. I'd say it hit him on the upper arm, not shoulder. Pretty unlucky - what was he supposed to do, swerve out of the way of the shot? But it does look like a penalty and the ref is within the letter of the law sending him off.

Beats me how didn't see Dan Jones being cleaned out as a red card offence, but that's the standard of refereeing we've come to expect.

If harrison never turned his back it would have hit him on the chest, he turned away and it hit him on the top part of his arm, accidentally of course, but i still did, he give the referee a decision to make.

It shouldn't have been a penalty. In the spirit of the game that was not a penalty. And if anyone watches it back, there's not one Crawley fan behind the goal appealing for it. Only one of the numerous Crawley players that can be seen in the box appeals. He jumps and waves his arms manically right in front of the referee. So manically that it probably makes up the ref's mind. Penalty given, man sent off, game lost, and all most likely thanks to a little bit of player influence. Virtually all teams and their management do it. Why don't we? Like Chip said, we are far too naïve in this respect, Dan Jones gets clattered, there were two cynical challenges as we were attacking, no bookings and we just get on with the game without getting in the ref's face whatsoever. Fight back Pools FFS!

We haven't had a mouthy git at the club for a long time. Nobody is in the face of the ref.

Nobody is a nasty piece who sticks a tackle in and walks away.

Nobody leaves the elbow lingering.

We need an enforcer. In fact, we need about 3.

It's been the same problem for about 7 years though.

No-one willing to trip someone on the break when outnumbered. No-one willing to dispute a ref decision, no-one to put a hard tackle in. Just weak as piss across whole pitch
