I am lying of course cos I am watching them.

But bloody hell, I thought, as we had qualified first, we must have improved a lot, and now Rooney is a world legend, I am curious to see if we can finally win a tournament.

Imagine my surprise to see us currently being out passed and out moved by that world football force of Switzerland.

Now I know we aint getting beat but its pretty poor fare.

And Rooney still looks a chavvy 'lovely lovely person'.

The movement of Switzerland first half, the closing down etc was light years ahead of us.

If they can close down n make our average players look bad (shelvy) what will a decent nation do to us?

I'm not even annoyed by England being rubbish anymore, we try our best, we're not that good, other countries are better, simple as.

The media love bigging shite, I think I seen a BBC article the other day how Wales can become one of the best teams in the world... All after narrowly beating the dominant force that is Cyprus and drawing 0-0 against Israel.

The fucking finals will go on for almost as long as the qualifying. Theres 8 groups of 3 with the top 2 going through in each, plus the six best third place teams, plus a wild card, and a team whats done the least fouls from whats left.

So the 24 going through from that will go into a knockout stage played over 4 legs, with extra time at the end of each leg just for a laugh.

The 12 through from that plus the 4 with the fastest fingers first will go into a round robin, with all games played on the same revolving astro turf pitch one after the other till 6 teams get so dizzy or tired they fall off.

That will leave 10 teams, fuck knows what happens after that, i got so bored with reading the rules I stopped at that point.

Im not saying its all been made bigger to make more money from the television rights and ticket sales, but basically its all been made bigger to make more money from the television rights and ticket sales

On the subject of Rooney, fair play to him in my opinion, despite the money etc it clearly meant a lot to him and so it should.

We stuck a team out with plenty of fringe players and beat a decent Swiss team 2-0 to make it 8 on the bounce. No complaints from me

Rooney was unplayable at one time, but hasn't been world class for years. Still better than a lot of other players, but that's not saying much. I'm looking forward to seeing how Kane gets on.
