Was out walking the dogs this morning and my mind wandered onto the subject of Mark Viduka's arse. I saw him play a few times for Boro and Leeds and was amazed how much use he made of his giant arse. He shielded the ball, turned defenders and shifted people off balance with it while he was waiting for crosses and corners - in fact his entire game was built around his massive buttocks.

Anyway it made me wonder if Pools have ever had a player who used their arse in a similar way? We've had a few very physical players and a few with huge rear ends but I can't think of anybody whose backside was a real feature of their game.

Would have to be Gary Liddle or Tommy Bulter

The one player that comes to my mind immediately is Roy Hogan.

Remember some of Roy's robust tackling but not any arse use in particular. Was along time ago though and I didn't always pay proper attention when I was kid.

You've also got to include some of the ' right tits' we've also had over the years.

Heard a few players called knobheads as well but I've never actually seen one. Denis Behan might as well as have had a knob for his head but it did still look like a head.

Don't remember Boydy doing much with his arse Elvis. Maybe his other talents overshadowed it despite its size? Humphreys had a giant arse after the summer one year but he didn't use it creatively.
