Or whatever it was called, wasnt the PA guy supposed to announce the person who sponsored the blade of grass that the goal was scored from or something?

I was looking forward to that.

The pitch was relayed over the summer so you have to sponsor the new turf. It was a con.

You only get your name announced if it was from a corner.... I love that photo of Dave Brown holding a tenner. It's the type of photo you'd see in the Hartlepool Mail where some family was short changed by a quid, so they call the mail and get a photo taken of them holding a pound coin to the camera with a sad face.

I can't believe I've never seen that before. That is the best thing I've ever seen, it's like an advert for WaterAid.

"Dave has to walk 3 miles to get his fertiliser. He walks home with it on his head, and when he returns, his groundsmen might not be there"

Amazing. I'm creased.

Well he must have sold it several times over because I bought all the squares myself and I've got the receipt to prove it. I knew that man was a crook.

"For just 20 pounds you can provide Dave and his helpers with milk and tea bags for the season"

I've just seen Davina McCall leaving the ground in floods of tears.

Seriously if anything screamed out we needed a change at the club it was that picture.

They could have used a neat £10 note instead of that one. I wouldnt even wipe me arse with notes like that.

Looks like a fake £10 note.

Poor Dave. He must have felt like a complete banana.
I bet he's relieved IOR weren't here any longer. They might have thought of hiring him out to illustrate one of those fake benefit claimants' leaflets.

Bet Dave's relieved at that. In fact that face looks like a man who wants to know who's left their shite on his tenner.
