Teachers at school have spent the week reading their favourite poems to the children. Today was my turn. I read "The Commentator" by Gareth Owen.......in.....my Pools kit!
The staff and children loved it, most especially as I played a one-two with a Year three boy (who brought his football in specially) as I read it. Pools 1.....Chesterfield in awe!

My mother was telling me that the 6 and 7 year olds from the local junior school were at mass on Monday morning in the local church, the priest asked them "If Jesus was walking the earth now, what would he be doing?", "Walking his dog?" one of them shouted out.
He later said next mass will be 9 o'clock Friday (meaning morning), this other kid shouted out "but I go to bed at 8".
