This could be the start of a new positive era for pools and hopefully bring the same level of success we had under Turner,Cooper and Wilson.

We are starting afresh with a good new squad ( with all the deadwood cleared out! ) New owners, new manager and a bloody good one at that, updated pitch, hopefully some money spent around the ground ( Niramax stand, new seats, blue and white please! )

I can,t wait to kick off the season and look at Pools and say for a change, bloody hell we have some big lads out there instead of saying it about the opposition. Lets get some more season tickets sold, its amazing what a difference it makes looking round the ground when there,s 4,000 in to when there,s 3,000 and the atmosphere is 10 x better.

Come on Pools! Bring it on!

I cant remember a more positive pre season at all.

Everything on paper looks in place for a great season, players in place already, injured players getting back to fitness, depth in squad even without any loan players, coaching/management set up all sorted and in place, a totally new outlook from owners and lets not forget the Trust being set up.

Will be a important year in HUFCs history.

The positivity comes from trust in Ronnie for me. The majority of signings are gambles and if anyone else had signed so many players pre-season I'd be a tad worried.
When Scotty started signing striker after striker after the playoff final there was some excitement but I think everyone saw he was a very naive manager.
I'm not making any predictions this season other than we'll be at least comfortable. Playoffs or promotion for a squad of players that have largely just been assembled would be what they refer to too often in football as a miracle. We had one last year and Hartlepool don't get them that often.

The division last year was very poor and thats what gives me a lot of optimism.
We dont have to think cautious with this team Ronnie is building.
A play-off place has to be the ambition.
As Russ said in the season ticket renewal letter Promotion is the target.You could say thats obvious sales patter but i will give him the benefit ou doubt working under a more ambitious chairman.

Yep! I forgot about the trust, soooooooooooooooooo exited!

I absolutely cannot wait. Its been a long time since we have gone into a new season after having a thorough clear out. I think all the frustration of keeping underperforming players from one season to the next had taken its toll on us and now to finally have a load of new promising players to cast our eyes over .....

1) There have been very few years gone by when people have not been crying for a clear-out. It's the Pools mantra and you will hear it again next year unless we finish first ten points clear of second.
2) The only person that was cleared out before Neale Cooper started his first spell was Thomas van Widdrington.
3) We are nonetheless going to fookin' stroll the league this coming season.
