As many of you know my little lad was born with a massive heart defect meaning he only has half of his heart functioning. He was born in December 2013 and immediately transferred to the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle where he remained for almost 5 months and underwent 3 open heart surgeries. He was home for another few months before being readmitted and having a fourth open heart surgery and unfortunately suffering a stroke in the process. The care and skill shown by all at the hospital was amazing and continues to be to this day, children from all over the region and indeed the country are treated at this amazing specialist unit. I am running a 12k extreme obstacle course in June to try and raise funds for the charity, The Children's Heart Unit Fund, that help provide both equipment to the hospital and accommodation for parents like myself so they can be by their children's side at all times. More and Jacks story can be found in the link below:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/artic ... times.html

If anyone would like to donate to this amazing cause it would be greatly appreciated as every penny really does make a difference. The Just Giving link can be found below:

You'll enjoy it .Was hoping to do it myself but have other plans. There's about 25 from Brierton gym doing it on Saturday. Should be a good laugh. The electric shocks will give you a boost!

Wasnt any when we went a few year back. Was 4 tiny sinks with no soap etc and everyone cleaned off around their cars. Plastic sheets for seats would be good idea as even though we thort we were clean car got mucky as hell.

Great stuff, just goes to show how useful this place is that the club use it and the local journalists pinch most of their breaking stories from here.

Oh and to the club - you have updated the players section on your site, removed Flinders, Franks etc but only added 5 signings. Bingham is missing.

I've just seen him run past Fens shops. Think he's gotten a bit lost.

Finished it, was brutal, thought I was about to die on numerous occasions. Completed it in just over two hours, thank you so much to all who donated, I've raised a massive amount for an amazing charity. Total of around £1100 once all collected.
