From the Daily Telegraph:

'Too many paedophiles are sent to jail and many should instead be treated in the community, the head of a child protection agency has said.

Jim Gamble of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre - he said not all paedophiles should be jailed
Mr Gamble: We need a more 'intelligent posture'

Some offenders - especially those who view child pornography - should instead receive a police caution then be given help to avoid committing further offences, according to Jim Gamble of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP).

Mr Gamble said the criminal justice system was struggling to cope with the number of people convicted of paedophilia.'

So we'll just let 'em off then eh?? Seeing as we're struggling.

I don't see the same rationale extended to pensioners who won't pay their Council Tax or people who refuse to use kilo's instead of pounds and ounces like they were taught in school, do you??

What a fu cking joke.

Every man and his dog are blaming a stain on the criminal justice system or over crowded prisons when they come up with these hair brained ideas.

Build more prisons! It is not rocket science!

Use the prisoners to build them.

Sort it out! rage

They can't afford more prisons. What with the monthly sky subscriptions, maid services, fine cuisine, recreational activities. Man it pays to be a criminal these days rather than an honest working tax payer!!

Aye but as hare brained ideas go Mr Monkey, this one surely takes the fookin' biscuit.

If EVER there was thin end of a very sinister wedge, it's downloading kiddie porn. Just having a look is surely never going to be enough for these people?? Particularly when the subject matter walks past them 2000 times a day??

Agreed, we have a young lad living opposite us in a council bungalow, he's just move in and a copper warned us that he'd just been let out of prison for that. Then when everyone went mad they denied everything. They'll be sorry when something happens.

Oh Im not for burning them at the stake or anything like that. I'm for the rehabilitation that prison is supposed to bring with it. A stern talking to by the desk sergeant and signing a piece of paper smacks of a let off for me, a prison sentence lets them know that it's bang out of order, especially when you've got Big Bubba trying to separate you from your genitals every minute you're in there..

I have a theory that as we've outsourced everything else, to save money building expensive prisons in the Uk we should outsource the feckers to India as well. Then when the crims get to the end of their sentence they have to find their own way home from Bangalore! Everyone's a winner then, build loads of cheap prisons in India.

There is a TV programme called 'Brits Behind Bars - Americas Toughest Jail', I remember reading about it a few weeks back and thought why don't we do things like that here. The prisoners have to live in tents and all of the food they eat is out of date produce donated by people living near by rather than pay for the food from taxpayers money.

Aye but again I refer to the pensioners who protest at the level of Council Tax they get charged, and the people who get jailed for other ludicrous offences. They simply shouldn't be in there, as shouldn't about 30% of the jail population.

Do you want YOUR nanna living on out of date food in a tent??
