They don't need much now, they are still 6 points clear, 7 if you include goal difference. If they can win either of their two remaining games, or pretty much job done if either Tranmere or Cheltenham fail to win on Saturday, then they are safe.

good result this. Keeps Shrewsbury in with a chance of winning the League and they face Cheltenham next week

Bury beating Shrewsbury last night was a cracking result for us as it keeps Bury right in the race for automatic promotion and they play Tranmere last game.

Our bit is taking the same amount of points as Cheltenham and can even allow 1 point less than tranmere from the final 3 games. Sure it's been pointed out numerous times but there remaining fixtures are certainly no better than ours. It's all down to who's the least shit.

Cheltenham - Northampton (a), Shrewsbury (h), Wimbledon (a)
Tranmere - Oxford (h), Plymouth (a), Bury (h)

Tranmere best chance is this week. Cheltenham probably the final week. Our bit could be anything but certainly not out of our hands as some would think with the doom and gloom.

hi carlisle fan here, we got a good point at burton last night thought we were going to win but not to be i am hoping we can secure our league status on saturday against plymouth so by the time we play you we will be safe as i do not want to see hartlepool go down because i like hartlepool its a good away trip for us plus you are a northern club and i dont like to see northern clubs go down i am hoping you are also safe by the time we play you but if not and you need 3 pts to stay up i would not be bothered if you beat us if it meant securing your league status good luck in your next two games and hopefully we can play out a boring 0-0 draw knowing we are both safe

Always had a soft spot for Carlisle myself. One of our best away days by far. Hopefully a point each will do us both final day.

I work in Dalston (about 4 miles from Carlisle) quite a bit and with a lot of Carlisle fans so I'm hoping the same.
