Carlisle look safe now. Five points clear of second bottom plus a game in hand plus a superior goal difference so its now perm any two from three. Now that Cheltenham have perked up, it's hard to see past Pools and Tranmere for the drop. I can't see us getting anything from Luton so that will leave us having to beat both Exeter and Carlisle away. Thats not easy giving our penchant for only playing 45 minutes a game..

I dont think carlisle are out of it. They have 3 tough ganes and might not pick up another point before we play them, plus 3 beatings could bring goal difference closer. We need 2 pts from next 2 games or 3 would be great.

Just had a look and they do have a difficult run in. Burton away, Plymouth at home then Stevenage away so fair comment. I think I'd still rather they were safe come the last game of the season.

Yep doesn't look good for us. we've pissed away Saturday and tonight. Thought there was a lack of confidence tonight which shows how fragile this team is.

Definitely two from three but I'd take a point at Luton right now. Tranny and Cheltenham both have tough run-ins too.

We also play Exeter at home which may help, probably not, but you never know. This how it will pan out
A point from Luton, three from Exeter, three from the sheep shaggers, job done
It's written in the tea leaves

Hold up, "Cheltenham have perked up"....really? One win TEN matches, that kind of form makes us look like world beaters.
We're absolutely terrible but somehow our destiny is in our own hands, I'd have taken that six weeks ago.

Luton may currently be in top half but have only beaten Tranmere in their last 10 games (1 point). Exeter is tough and Carlisle is winnable (3 point). 45 points may even be enough considering how crap the three bottom teams are.

If only we could keep 3 clean sheets and score one goal in the next 3 games... that would be ideal. Although not realistic...

Luton aren't just top half, they are three points outside of the play offs with a better goal difference. They're not there by being a bad side. They have had a poor run but they can end quickly. Also don't tell me they will lack motivation given that they are one win outside of a play off place.

I think we'll lose at Luton. I hope we'll beat Exeter but I can see it being another draw. Then off to Carlisle for the decider assuming we're still in contention.

Like our poor run the end of last season, that certainly ended quickly.

I guess a point at Luton is wishful thinking, though the fact that nothing will be expected of us there and Luton's form may give us a chance of a draw. I just think we'll lose against Exeter and no way will only 3 more points at Carlisle be enough.

It is all about momentum, bottle and goals now. We've lost our momentum and last nights big win could be the start of Cheltenham getting some.

Do we have the bottle? Not sure. Looked nervy in last few games.

Have we got the goals? Clean sheets are great but we need to win and that means we need to score. Gotta start Marlon and Fenwick and go for it. Cannot mess this up now!!

Irrelevant, everyones form changes eventually and form only records what happened.
Change must come, so what they did makes no difference or the league could be decided after the first ten games.
How many times down the years have we come up against a team that are on the ropes form wise and we end up the losers.

But then can they carry that momentum of last nights win into their last three games? Looking at who they are playing, with two away from home, I can't see them picking up more than 3/4 points max.

SILENT BOBS got it spot on start with marlon n fenwick.
Even if fenwick only lasts 70 mins chances are he will of notched one of the most important goals in our history.
I would even play ducky in his familiar right wing back roll where he can open up a bit of space and give the forwards some options.

We all got our own views but the most important one is RONNIES and now he has no room for error.
KEEPING THE FAITH but only just!

Just bottle now. All three teams will be nervy. How I wish we had Woods now in the middle but not to be.

nothing much really changed in terms of us 3 at the bottom.

This saturday, the bookies think tranmere are the smallest of favourites to win, with us and cheltenham long shots to win. So albeit only going off the bookies, we could well be a point behind tranmere. Next week we play exeter, cheltenham at home to shrewsbury and tranmere away to plymouth. I'd bet we will be shortest odds out of the 3 to win here but again probably all be underdogs (don't think we will be by much) so if we pick up something we would be at least level with tranmere and a point ahead of cheltenham say.

The final game, tranmere have the hardest game against a bury side which may well need to win for top 3 chances (may not i agree). Us and cheltenham away to teams and probably have similar chances of winning, again with us as slightly more likely.

It's all about the nerves but no reason or people to say it's over at all. No reason why all 3 couldn't lose all 3 games, although I agree that's unlikely.

bury to win the game in hand against southend hopefully.
