Well no one has a good word to say about this keeper fella we've got. Someone said he even looked shite when he played for Weymouth. And when you consider he's the only keeper we have at the moment its a tad worrying. The pre season fixtures will start in about 5 weeks.......

Buit they are hardly likely to say that he is bobbins are they? I'm worried that someone on rivals at least claiming to be a Weymouth fan said he was tripe as did some Poolie living down south who's name escapes me this moment.....

Did anyone know anything about Dimi when he signed. You have to give him a chance, the lads never even had a game for us yet and people are claiming he is no good, until i have seen him play i will reserve judgement.

But that is the problem, some people have seen him play. I believe the Poolie who has seen him was BlueMonkey and he normally gets things spot on. I hope the lad is good enough but I will be disappointed if he is our Number One at the start of the season.

Johnny if that's the case, please remove all sharp objects from your vicinity, flush away any left over medicines, don't cross the road at busy times and don't climb any high buildings.

FFS. Someone on Rivals and an unknown Poolie express their disdain whereas Chris Turner and our goalkeeping coach rate him and you've written the poor lad off before his name's even dry on his shirt.

Fooking calm down!!

I haven't written the lad off, I am just concerned. We have signed somewhat of an unknown to replace a really good keeper. The last thing we need is a clown in goal..... Hopefully someone else will be brought in or Jimbo will sign his contract......

How often did you boo Steven Howard when he was still learning, Johnny.

Never boo players, managers yes, players no. I always liked Howard. He was always great in the air and just as he was finding his feet we got rid. He was never the fittest lad at Pools though.....

The way some people go on is as if you can't question anything to do with HUFC. We have lost one of if not the best keeper we have ever had. So far he has been replaced by a player who has hardly played football recently and hasn't exactly got a glowing CV. We can all pretend we have signed a gem, and we might have but are you not in the least bit concerned about Dimitrious's replacement.?

Dimi didn't have a glowing CV either, he was playing for Farense in the Portugese second division and not getting a game. All I'm saying is give the lad a chance, he hasn't even pulled his boots on yet. He might make Dimi look like Tony Williams.

I never got on newells case, I actually didn't mind Newell but I wanted Scotty to leave by about mid October last season, by mid November I had just about had enough of Pools and the Tamworth match really should of been the final straw for the idiot.

Scotty was phuqing useless but what was worse was some of the idiots in the mill house terrace actually thought he was doing a good job and pesisted in trying to shout down the Scotty Out chants......

Stop worrying about the keeper,I dont believe for a minute that DW will gamble on a position as vital as goalie.
As for Scotty,Yeovil came here without a point & he was making excuses before kick off,he also made Boydy aggravate an injury for 20 minutes & we looked totally clueless. That was the day it was obvious he should have gone, about 2 month before Tamworth.

I nearly missed that game because I forgot it was a 12 o clock kick off :uhoh: :uhoh:

I only got down in time because I got a text at around 11:40 asking why I wasn't at the ground :uhoh: :uhoh:

Kev which one am I the unknown Poolie or the Poolie from Rivals?, I returned home to Weymouth and watched the 2 homes at the start of the season, Weymouth won 1 - 0 & 2 - 1. The lad looked ok but then again the whole side looked ok, my brother in law watched him play most of his games and say's he looks ok.

Turner was going on reports from George Wood the Cardiff keepers coach he would know more about him than me. From what I have seen and from what I have heard he will be No 2 keeper here while he learns what it's like to play in the league. If he's here as the 1st choice keeper all I will say is that with the quality defence we have we still may need someone better but until I see him play for Pools I will reserve my judgement.

I dunno mate, it's not my quote. I accept that he's a young inexperienced keeper, all I'm saying is don't write him off before he's kicked a ball in anger which Johnny seems to have done, already labelling him a potential 'clown.'

Going back to the original post, although I have always respected Mickey Barron's dedication to the Club and the way he plays the game. I can't help thinking that if he's warrants a new contract then so does Eiffion

The thing is that we have one right back, Daz Williams never really justified his rumoured high wages and when Barron played he didn't do a lot wrong. Yes he might be short of pace but he can still do a job at full back I'm sure.

As for Eifion doing a job isn't really good enough if your a striker, he struggled to get goals in shitty Division Four. He has been a good player in the past for Pools but now really was time to get rid of him.

Mickey's injury problems are accumulating as the season's go by,
plus his distribution is woeful.
Which Turnbull was released, was it the fullback or the midfielder ?

They're both central midfielders, though it was Phil who played a couple of reserve games and one JP Trophy game at right back, and it was Phil who was released.

i thought phil had a cracking game at right back that night, hope he gets something sorted soon if bracker can get a contract with a league club then phil turnbull deserves another go
