It's only a friendly and let's face it, even the top Seri A games don't always sell out.

Someone once told me that Juve are not the best supported team in Turin, Torino are. Juve have fans across Italy and so when they play away, they always have big support but not necessarily at home confised

Juventus have a fairly nomadic history I think having played in a few different places over the years and have a widespread fan base I think I've read that before anyway! For a new stadium it looks a cracker like, the polar opposite to Juve's old ground with the running track.

Was just gonna post something similar.

The cameras panned round the ground, lots of families in the Italian ends, women, kids, everyone.

The english section looks like a BNP rally. I couldnt think of place I would less like to be than amongst that lot and their pathetic songs.

Did anyone see the fuckwit with skinhead singing the national anthem and shaking his fists like he was about to fight the Zulus at Rourkes Drift.

I am not sure I am educated enough to amswer this as I dont watch much footy, but are Henderson, Delph and Jones really good enough for a team compete against the best players in the world?

Pools sing it at away games all the time so not sure what the problem is to be honest.

I don't think it will cause a diplomatic problem with the Italians, they will still be running about afterwards stabbing people in the arse.

People on this board saying they wish football fans were more like rugby fans. Count me out when people start turning up to Pools in salmon chinos and a pair of deck shoes thanks.

yes but its like a BNP rally.

And the songs they sing are more anti something than supporting their team.

I am fairly confident most of them wouldnt really go to war, so why sing and act like they are about to?

Haven't really got an issue with what you said. There are a lot of good lads who follow England, obviously a few morons too. Places like Japan and south Africa filtered out lots of the idiots and England were well behaved and well liked at both.

I just find the use of that song too bash England fans a bit ridiculous to be honest. I don't even support them that much TBH.

Though i think some hostility and the threat of it boiling over is what makes it good to go away, not saying I'm looking for bother but if everyone turned up with a flask and s tartan rug it would be shit.

I like singing at away games as long as it's pro my team and not anti anybody else shit. If you think it's okay to chant obscene garbage then you've either got the intellect of a budgie or are 12 yrs old. I remember going to places like Workington and Boston in the past and although they had poor support (gates of 1200 say) I could'n't bring myself to slate the one's who were there......they are proper fan's, like many of ours, who'd support their team through thin and thinner.

Do you think it's unacceptable to ever swear at the match then?

No, a lot of fan's swear in the heat of the moment, I find it rather embarrassing that the rest of Europe see our fan's as brainless drunken moron's. We get great support in numbers away from home (England), it's just as The Colonel says a higher than average proportion of neanderthals.

Unless you are a family. Maybe you dont think families belong at football matches?

And who are these good lads, and what constitutes good? Is a good lad better than a top lad?

That was a good equaliser, enjoying the game tbh for a change, it's been very competive.

I've never seen trouble at an England game. Plenty of friendly banter between us and the Germans but never trouble. Maybe thats because I don't run into their bars wearing a fake Hitler tash and singing Auschwitz songs. I could be wrong though.

I've seen plenty over the years and it's generally the cockney fookers wanting to fight other teams fans

Ive had some great trips away for the england games at slovakia litchenstien and andora.
most of the england fans get on well together we used to meet up with the hereford and burton lads for a drink.
There was hell on in Zurich the night before the litchenstien game because the local turks stabbed an english fan.
