Monkey Business for March is now out, and available online at http://www.monkeybizz.net, as usual.

As you can guess, there's a bit of everything in this month's fanzine: comment on whether Pools can still save it or not, spoof ads, cartoons, a bit of nostalgia, some match reports, and another go at Sepp (he just invites it though.)

Forty Shades of Grey, Broadchurch and Wolf Hall all get the Bizz treatment, as does a well-known song. Plus, there are some entertaining reasons why 23 other teams from League Two should go down rather than Pools, and some predictions of what the atmosphere might be like at the Carlisle match.

So catch the Bizz now and take a different look at Pools. It might postpone the tears. But then again it might not.

There is an article in there that calls the trust 'enthusiastic amateurs' Can I take exception to that.

That is written without any knowledge of the skill set of the current co-ordinators nor the names of those who will be elected. We have a Chartered Accountant. A Doctor of Law. A Director of a PLC company. A Senior Manager of a nationally recognised business. This in addition to a lot of professionally qualified people who have expressed an interest in joining the trust.

When set up, the Trust will be run on a very professional basis, not a George Reynolds looney tunes system.

Wait and see before making sweeping statements about 'enthusiastic amateurs'.

Well said John. There are skills in abundance available to the Trust, some of which haven't even surfaced yet.
The word amateur is a nonsense and for enthusiastic substitute the word determined.
We'll get there. Make no mistake about that.

Not having experience in running a football club makes them amateurs...

Not sure it does. HUFC is a limited company. A Profit and loss, projections, revenue generation, cost control, man management etc. Not IOR were decent at most of that for a good while.

However, the 'customer comes first' aspect of their business plan was atrocious. As was communication and respect for all.

A business is a business. And in any successful business the customer is king.

Do you think Kens had load of experience of previously "running" a football club?

I seem to remember his degrees in the chemical industry..

Well I suppose he's served his apprenticeship running ours off the rails..

Sounds canny, Elmo is the man to send it to now and I'm sure he'll give it plenty of prominence.
