Now at Whitby, how did it come to this? ( obviously injuries ) He was such a good player, i'd have him in Pools team right now sign him up on a pay as you play, he is still only 27/28

Bloody hell when you think of the talent....brilliant idea pay as you play although Whitby probably pay more.

My guess is he's at Whitby for a reason and clearly itsmt good enough to play league football anymore. Ironic really as a fair few of the 1st team have the same problem

He probably knocked trying to make a living out of football on the head. Darren Williams manages Whitby doesn't he?

My favourite pools team had Brown on the right and Monkhouse on the left. Two players who actually had the fans excited when they were on the ball. I sure do miss any excitement at a Pools game.

Regardless of whether he is instructing or turning out on a weekend for Whitby it's still a great shame his career came to this after such a good start, different gravy to anything we have resembling a forward now ...

Imagine a fully fit Brown, Porter, Boyd and Monkhouse as your forward line. Would certianly hold their own in the Championship, never mind League 2.

Even a half fit Brown would be better than Marlon or Morgan!
