Say you saw a designer watch on ebay - let's say Armani (not Rolex or Breitling or owt) - and the "buy it now" price is about half what they are asking in the major online watch stores.

There are actually loads of them on E-bay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/mens-armani-ceramic-watch

What's the chances of it being a knock-off? Answers from people with parallel experience please.

Ta.

Had a quick look and the price on E Bay is nearer a quarter of the proper price , I would give it a wide berth. Would be looking to buy from a reputable online dealer or go somewhere where you can actually see what you are paying for.

I have that watch. Got the same art number as the one listed in the picture as well so I'd be 99% sure that's real.

Flash watches are all about showing off so as long as it will fool your neighbours why spend more?

On further investigation I'm pretty sure they are knock offs, albeit very well made copies.
But if I want a fake, I'll buy one off the hawker that goes round the bars here.
