It's not so much the conference that is the issue.

It's the fact the club is in a ridiculous decline and nothing is being done to prevent it. I Used to enjoy Saturdays even though we didn't win a lot but it's not a huge task to want to go. Personally have other things which will occupy my 3-5 time on a saturday

i will continue to support them no matter what league we are in, but i totallly understand those that wish to stay away, Hodcroft and Green have a hell of lot to anwser for and after 35 years supporting the club i honestly dont know where we are heading, I respect the views of those that choose to stay away, i just couldnt do it, im lost for words when it comes to our current plight.

Unfortunately there are too many sheeple that play on the fact that 'real' fans continue to support their club no matter what

well I'm with the others - not one more penny will leave my hands to go to pools until they fuck off - but once they do I will be back whatever league they are playing in - and I'll be dragging my kids along to keep the support going in the future.

It pains me not to be in the Vic shouting the lads on in the current circumstances - but I can bear those two slimy twats laughing at us and taking our money as 'wages'.

If eventually we get proper owners in or even go down the fans owned route and the club shows ambition again then im sure the missing fans will be more than willing to return.
As for this season the fans have backed the team brilliantly both home and away.

The person who is getting slagged is because the statement was purely based on not going because it's the conference. Which I think deserves slagging.

People not going because they are making a protest at the current owners is a different story

Thats the truth of it. So if you want to alienate all of them then crack on.

Pools will end up with a core support base of around 1500, and it will never grow again.

Its a common fact that as teams drop down the leagues their fan base reduces. It happens to every club.

Anyone stupid enough to think that it doesnt happen at pools is being just that.

If his protest is based on the owners... then he won't be going now.... but if his only objection is because it's the Conference it's bollocks.... simply because if we got new owners in the Conference his objection is.... the Conference... not the owners....so he still wouldn't be going.....his wording.

The thing is though, 1500 is probably our hardcore support. The latter part of the fat beard's reign and early Hornsey era were normally crowds of less than 2000 most weeks unless Darlo were in town.

Saying I'm not supporting the club in the conference isn't right, surely you support Pools regardless of league were in. Those stayng they will not be supporting pools while Green & Hodcroft remain, fair enough. Those two have killed the club and don't seem bothered whatsoever

Arguably there is little difference in quality between League 2 and the Conference so saying you aren't going to attend because we are in the Conference is a piss poor excuse. This division is shocking and we haven't seen once exceptional side all season. Just happens we are the worst of an awful league. The quality of football on offer, I imagine, will be no different.
