Two of the top teams from the supposedly greatest league in the world totally outplayed this week in the Champions League. When are football fans in the UK going to wake up, they pay the highest monthly subscription charges in the world to watch over paid less skilful players than the rest of Europe/World.

Totally agree on overhype, but Chelsea will probably buck that trend next week and that's where the argument falls over. Torrent tv is Ellish if one doesn't want to pay vastly inflated sky/bt charges to watch quite a lot of the time turgid shit plagued with adverts. I've got to admit the coverage is quite good tho, and the Neviller and Graeme Souness are decent pundits. I quite like Jeff Stelling an all. I remember when a live Sunday match was free to air on ITV, 'the big match'. Those were the days.

not sure what you mean by "wake up", city lose to barca and arsenal get beat so we should cancel our sky subscriptions? maybe we should relocate to a country with a better price to quality ratio?

obviously sky is expensive but if you really want to watch the games you'll pay it. cant have any complains with BT, still free for their broadband customers

For the money they've spent Man City were absolutely bobbins the other night the gulf in class was unbelievable really the first half especially it's hard to fathom how you can spend all of that cash and still look a one man team in the big games.

The Premier League teams have fallen well behind in the last couple of years.

Anyone can see where Arsenal need to strengthen maybe just one player in midfield who breaks things up and and a centre half who is quicker than Per Mertesaker, can I suggest Sam Collins. They are two players off being good, three including a keeper.

Chelsea are streets ahead in terms of the Premiership most complete squad and best manager, they could win it but they know there limits against any of the big three and will park the bus.

It is driven by demand and may fans in the majority of other European countries would prefer to watch the English premier league than their own top domestic league. What does that tell you?
