To anyone there yesterday, how did he play sctatchinghead

Did we deserve anything or was it another Pompey performance ie. Went for a drawer, never threatened and so once we conceded we were fooked  and I'm a 'glass half full' type usually confised

He did o.k. for first 20 minutes then the ball was lumped forward in the air for the rest of the game. We should have scored after just 4 minutes, they really didn,t threaten us but did try to play the ball to feet, really it was a game to forget.

He seemed okay but he will take a bit of time to get used to the physical nature of league 2 football. As for us deserving something. We could have maybe pinched a draw but we offer nothing going forward so it's inevitable that we will concede no matter how much the defence has been strengthened. Woods and tshbola battled hard again but the wingers were non existent. And Marvin Morgan can keep his options open if he likes as he hasn't impressed me so far while he's been here.

Id say he was a bit lightweight and naive but arguably should have had a penalty and was full of running. Just like Luke James was at the start but he was in a better team. I'd give him another chance, he scored plenty in pre-season so I'm surprised its took so long for him to get a go. Play him consistently and i think he will score a few before the end of the season. I think he could replace Bingham's energy that Fenwick fed from so well

He chased lost balls and ran his socks off but the ball wasnt played to his feet enough to make anything happen, had a stone wall penalty turned down when running on to a certain tap in. A bit of movement up top instead of the two nugget M&M's

He seemed a bit lightweight but as been said by others we just hoofed the ball to Morgan all game. Was never a penalty for the nudge on him.

Scott flinders played pretty well actually and pulled off a couple of good saves like from shots outside the box.

Great double save in the first half when they were through on goal as well

but weak wrists for the goal. He made a diving save, and pushed the ball into the middle of the six yard box. the initial shot had little pace on it also.

Personally id of said it was a good save for the goal to get down so quick and can't honestly see why Mirfin just stood and looked at the ball instead of clearing it. Id of gave Flinders 8 personally but was out best player. There keeper struggled like hell with the conditions whereas he was safe and confident. Personally, Flinders is playing 10 times better and is commanding his area better since Pears went off the scene

Their keeper had a nightmare first half with his kicking

According to reports I heard we had a few chances and Marvin had the best chance of the game?

I just watched POOLSworld highlights and it doesn't show a single attack of ours.

Morgan was through on goal and looked destined to score. He just seemed to blast it at the keeper as he went down to collect it from his feet... :angry-screaming:
