ok so moving forward we all want the same the... THE SAFETY OF OUR CLUB.

The only way to do this is to allow what has happened or been said in the past be gone. No more sniping at each other over he said this or that.

If you feel a meeting would not be beneficial... DON'T TURN UP. Simple

If you would like to attend, Appleyapper could you sort the corner flag's function room for Saturday 17:00?

Lets get this ball rolling and get something in place.

I'm a way out of town poolie and so I can't easily make a meeting but hopefully someone can take minutes and spread them around so we can garner opinion.

I see there being a few challenges here.

1) Getting together a small but strong and united group who are willing to commit time to help push this through. It would be useful if within this there are some experts in some particular fields such as law etc. This group needs to set out a plan and timescales about exactly how and when certain things will happen.

2) Publicity. If everything is set up and a plan is in motion then every Hartlepool fan needs to know about it. There are plenty of people who have influence and who can get behind it on a local and national scale. Given the enormous support this project would need, it would be useful to get flyers out at some home games pretty soon. Make sure all fans are aware of it, make sure it is not just anti-IOR but an acknowledgement that it may be up to us to ensure the long term safety of our club. It's vital at this stage that people know how serious a proposition this is which is where 1 comes in handy.

3) In response to 2 we should get a feel for how successful a supporters trust would be. People would have to put their money where their mouth is but I think fans will if they see what the alternative is. Other small clubs have managed it and I don't see why we should be any different. Support is likely to grow exponentially as some people may only get involved when they see it's a serious short-term prospect (I'm thinking of the season ticket deals a few years ago as an example.)

Hopefully, there's some agreement on the above but I'm happy to hear constructive feedback. I'm not a businessman but I'm not an idiot either. I don't know the ins and outs required to get this process moving but I know that it's not going to be helped by arguing and delaying the process. We are in this together and I'll help out however I can. I'd be happy to meet with fans of AFC Wimbledon or Exeter etc to help give us some direction but unfortunately I can't lead the fight on home soil.

Good luck on Saturday!

I think point 2 is one that should be hammered home. Its not an anti IOR group, (although many will be Anti IOR)

I can see this MB's "Post Of The Year" ^^^^^

It's nothing to do with IOR. We SHOULD have a Supporters Trust. It needs to happen NOW.

Can we make it clear as well, that this isn't a meeting for The Bunker, ITB or the Facebook page , this is a meeting for ALL concerned Poolies.

We, as Poolies, have bigger fish to fry, therefore there should be no hidden agendas, no name calling and no grudges held. It's time to put past differences behind us and for us all to start pulling in the same direction.

There has been a cancer running through the club for a few years now, it's time for us to dig it out!

Here here. We need to be constructive and let everyone's voice be heard if they want to be heard.

Equally though, some people will need to be appointed to organise the masses and provide a single, clear strategy to follow.
