Franks up front with either Marl or Marv, both will achieve the same! Only dilemma that leaves is who plays on the wing? Only other solution that might offer a goal threat is Compton and Franks playing off Morgan

Earlier this season I was listening to the token Pools section on 'BBC boro is the best place on earth' and Maddison was saying that Harrison use to play up front a bit for Darlo at younger levels

Aye, I said this on the Collins thread a couple of days ago. Maybe Moore reads the bunker!

Harrison at centre-forward, desperate stuff indeed - surely to God we can and should do better than this in what represents crisis hour for the club? Our only attacking threat goosed, Franks touted as striker, Miller and Bates still crocked - where are the favours from football contacts that Ron Moore said that he could call upon when he arrived? Where is the support from other North East clubs? Have the Borer totally forgotten what HUFC did for them in summer 1986 when all appeared lost - or indeed the fact that they stole our assistant manager without any sign of compensation last year? And where is the financial investment that Hodcroft is allegedly pursuing? Where are the calls for regional support from the likes of Stelling, Allon and the so-called supporter that is the current MP representing the town? There are just 15 games remaining in which to retain the clubs 90+ year Football League status and more than likely its very existence and no-one who is in a position to make a difference is prepared to do fuck all about it.

Paul Baker was brought to the club as centre half, but Moncur give him a chance up front & the rest is history as they say.
And Boro,Mag,Mackems have never really been bothered about Pools

Baker was bought as a centre forward by John Bird

Your asking loads of people who can do fuck all about it to do something.

The people who could do something about it chose to do fuck all and that's why we're hear right now.

To be fair, we have that lad on loan from Boro Jordan Jones, who's highly rated by them, he's only had 15 mins on the pitch, I'm saying lad he's 20 now, that kid who tore us apart last week was 18.
Sunderland who have problems of their own atm, were good enough to release Harrison early, and the Mags lent us Campbell, who they rate highly, but he wasn't what we need. We need to broaden the net a little, and I'm sure Ronnie is, but you can't force people to come.
I would play Morgan and Jones, or Morgan and Smith, if it doesn't work switch to Fenwick plus painkillers, as I'm sure he'll be available.
